With the advanced aiming controls, im wondering what you players will first try and what you think will end up being the recommended for best play style? I know this all comes down to opinion but someone who can play better with a higher sensitivity before, usually had an advantage and im sure it will apply here aswell. Im planning on first trying:
5 Sensitivity (Where ive been) - 10 Look acceleration (Turn as fast as possible) - 0% Inner deadzone or the lowest my controller can handle if it has any slow turn - 0% outer deadzone or the lowest my controller can handle if it cant hit 100% in any one direction (More area for aiming adjustments and latest turn ignition. This is what usually makes me start to ‘choke’)Im super excited for this, more so than anything in this next update. What are your opinions and thoughts?
I’ll try setting acceleration to 2, as that’s what it was in the beta, then I’ll try 0. Dead zones I’ll have to mess around with in customs to figure out.
I’ll get rid of aim acceleration as soon as the update is up, maybe the game gets a little more enjoyable after that…
if that update works properly, the first of the 4 major issues this game has, is solved, they just need to work on better server selection, harder party restrictions and do some re-balancing
In my experience turning down the sensitivity to 0 makes the gun aim better, but easily puts your safety in jeopardy. 3 is the one to go with, but don’t go higher, especially with the BR.
I’ve tried to work this out and this is my conclusion. Halo 4’s Recoil-HUD/Aiming isbetter. Pistol aiming isn’t very good
I’m gonna have to go into a custom game and tweak it for a long time before I feel comfortable trying it out online. I don’t really have a big issue with the default aiming right now though.

I haven’t either but social playlists drop at the same time. They shouldn’t effect any major stats, right?
True, that could be a good sandbox to try with live fire targets to test haha.
I need to improve the controls that dictate the areas aiming diagonally down and when people are below and above you. That’s the only time I really have difficulty nailing someone.

When you release the sticks and they pop back to their neutral position, they never return to absolute zero. It’s usually some really low number like 0.01 - 0.03, but it’s enough to cause “drifting” with movement or looking. The deadzone is the threshold where the game begins to recognize input from the sticks.
What is concerning to me is the fact they are saying the Beta aiming is setting 2 and right now we are playing at 3. GET THE F OUT OF HERE 343. There is no way the aiming is THIS messed up by any increment of 1. This leads me to think there will be nothing that feels like the beta, in this update. For us to turn down acceleration, we only have 1 and 2 to work with??? Are you -Yoinking!- insane???
