I know too well that there will probobly never be a Halo game with weapons we can aim down the sights. But what would it be like if we were able to lean in to our gun to increase accuaracy. Sort of like using a grenade launcher on battlefield bad company. In Halo 4, this may help us increase accuracy with the AR, shotgun, and any other weapons without scopes (excluding the sword & hammer).
In my own opinion, id think it would be ok as a gametype option
So in conclusion, would you like to be able to do this in H4. Yes, No, or Maybe.
Just using this vid as an example, so you can get the picture of what leaning in to weapons would look like in H4

They aren’t Halo mechanics. They might be Battlefield, CoD, and MoH mechanics, but not really Halo.

I strongly think that just because they do work on those games, it doesnt mean it wont work for Halo. I mean, if halo 4 has bloom like reach then people would want some way to make some weapons more accurate. And if it became just an option then people would be happy either way.
No they will work for Halo. They just are NOT HALO! THERE ARE GAMES THAT HAVE THESE THINGS! GO PLAY THE GAMES WITH THESE FEATURES! IT’S NOT THAT HARD! STOP TRYING TO RUIN HALO.
Technically, weapons are still as accurate (or should I say inaccurate?) as ever. The traditional reticule is static, which shows the MAX possible spread. Most guns have, and had it, with the AR being the most obvious example. Reach’s AR and the Halo CE AR have pretty much MAX identical spreads, yet Reach’s AR is consider worse. Why? The Bloom Effect denies players the aility to accurately judge where their bullets are going to hit. Since in Halo it is much harder to kill enemies than in other games, accuracy takes the front row seat. People like the ability to target a specific spot, and have a distraction-less follow-up shot. Bloom serves as a distracing element making a player focus more on their reticule than their target. This is why people don’t like bloom. It’s a distraction that, in other games would not effect gameplay much, but due to the nature of Halo, it fundementally changes how people play the game.
I don’t see the point. It affects the zoom minimal at best and in the end it wouldn’t make it any more accurate. If you can see a target and you lean in, it’s not going to make much of a difference. In fact, you’re better off not doing it.
