I use Waypoint a lot on the 360 and as of now it is getting tedious. It’s not Waypoint itself. It’s every time I go to watch a video an advertisement comes on for Kinect and just kills the Waypoint experience, and there’s a lot of ads that show up.
I watch a lot of videos on Waypoint but this is just bogging down a great application.
And why are ads on a payed service anyway?
I have to back out of a videos right after the advertisement and play it again because it will play the main menu songs while the videos plays. I’m not sure if it’s just me or if other people have the same problem.
There is a way to “hard block” ads on live, you can set up a filter via your router or firewall. But since Ms doesn’t like people doing that, I won’t give you any step by step directions on a MS forum (my suggestion, google it).
However it’s ok to, it just blocks the ads from ever entering your 360, and as you say, if we pay for the service, why would there be any ads?
They should decided, either have it free with ads, or “pay to get rid of ads” options, aka gold member = no ads.
