I’ll wait and see. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised. I actually enjoy Elongation, though. I also don’t think a maps settings and aesthetics define a map’s playability. I can make assumptions from gameplay videos, but until I get my hands on H4, I’ll spare total judgment.

Judging by what I saw from the gameplay. it looks like a very well designed map for gameplay. the maps is very extensive and does not make for a stranded center. the map is very well balanced

As do I. In map design, the setting of a map has very little effect on its gameplay. Good maps can be made from any environment.
It had absolutely no plan behind it. It’s like the designer put in the middle section, made it low gravity to annoy everyone, and then just threw random walls and ramps in for the rest of the map with no thought behind them.
i didnt really have a problem with orbital, or the two reach space maps and elongation was a remake of a halo map of a map i loved with a unsc theme called longest

All of that in your post is nothing but Opinion, not fact!
If you don’t like the map simply because it’s a human themed map in space, then be my guest and don’t play it. While the rest of us will enjoy it because we don’t judge the map’s game play based souly on it’s theme.
I think Adrift looks great and since its already pretty much been stated as a close quarters map I think it will be well balanced. In my opinion they past human themed space maps didn’t have a set long or close range feeling. Granted that many maps offer a variety of long and close range areas, from what has been said and what I’ve seen in the videos Adrift will definitely be more optimal for close range combat.
Orbital is easily the most poorly designed map in Halo 3 and Reach. It’s 2 essentially 2 long tunnels with a base at the end of each and random boxes everywhere.

I’m just stating facts. Almost every UNSC ship themed map has been sub-par or downright terrible. You can ask any decent player that played them and they will tell you the same. I hope 343 changes that with Adrift, but I seriously doubt it. History repeats itself.
