Adrift has to be on the best maps.

Just watched this "Adrift" Multiplayer Map Walkthrough With 343i - IGN

Why the hate on it? It looks awesome. It’s probably the most unique map in Halo 4. The atmosphere in space is damn fantastic and the scene outside is beautiful. In the core, there’s a robot working on the giant mech. There’s several levels to it and it looks awesome for close quarters. There was so much work put into it. Why do people hate on it so much?

Just IMAGINE Flood Mode on this map!!! It would be amazing.
In fact this map+Flood mode is perfect for Machinimas.

I think Adrift, Haven and Solace are looking to be my favourites(Also Exile).

The Skybox is certainly pretty.

No question it will flow good. But some people think its too big for 4v4, and as such hate it on the spot.

I’ll admit its a bit big. but the design of it will most likely have most battles centered around the mech, so I wouldn’t worry much.

With sprint as a default and increased movement since Reach, bigger maps are understandable.

I dont see anything wrong with Adrift gameplay-wise, but I grow tired of the human spaceship outbreak we’ve been dealing with lately.

Have you seen the Ragnorok and Meltdown maps? Pretty impressive… even more than Adrift IMO.

I played the forged version of adrift on Halo Reach last night; it certainly didn’t seem too big for 4 v 4 to me.

I know they are, but only to an extent. For instance, they are labeling maps like Exile as 4v4, though it is definitely big enough to only work loose 4v4. And that’s with sprint. Without sprint, you would need a 5v5 or 6v6 to play that map.

And sprint doesn’t increase game speed as much as some would like to think. all it does is potentually decrease the time it takes for an encounter to occur.

I don’t like it. It doesn’t seem like it will flow well as there is no area I would want to go. The spawns look like the place where players will want to stay, as there is no incentive to go to the middle of the map since you do not have any angle on people outside of it.

Might be good for FFA or Objective, but certainly not a Slayer map.

OF course this isn’t a problem. just go for the weapons there.

Of wait, infinity slayer doesn’t care about the weapon sandbox, now you just spawn in whatever you want after a few kills.

It is cool, my favorite is Abandon.

Raganarok is Valhalla remake and Meltdown looks awesome, but Adrift is one of the best.

I agree Adrift looks great, but I like the maps over all except for Valhalla (I didn’t want that remade).

I don’t ever think they said Exile was meant for 4v4. Team objective is 5v5 in Halo 4.

Anyway, I like Adrift. Though it’s pretty large, its design seems to draw players into and around the center, keeping the action fast-paced. Though some people have complained that it’s too big, I think it would make a passable 4v4 map.

Ok… Ok… Well, what about Abandon… SWEET… Even Complex is nice… I guess my point is there are some really good maps…

This is the one I’m not too much a fan of. The closer one gets to the center, the more cramped it gets. I’m just not a fan of such maps… :\ Like, Haven and Solace are open with cover and two levels (Solace has the balconies though), the way I like it.

Usually I don’t like dark maps.

But this looks great.

I don’t believe it is too big at all.

Not much bigger than sanctuary.
