UPDATE: 12/25/2012 It has been a full 24hr+ since the last update when it was stated that -Yoink!- Gaming would have fixed all of the players affected by the “not appearing on leaderboards” bug. However I do not know if persons status have been restored and I know for a fact that mine and HEY IM NEW HERE’s status has NOT been restored as of this mornings update (because the updates don’t even occur when the rules and regulations state. I.e. EST not PST). I have been told by Administration that they are working on this issue and that -Yoink!- gaming have also been working on this issue. I have also been told that the stats are still being tracked however…
I would like a guarantee that if we still do not “appear” on the leaderboards we are awarded the spots in tier 1 because we have logged enough games to keep us in the bracket for the forcible future.
If this is not the case due to this clause:

Neither Sponsor, nor its parent, affiliated and subsidiary companies, directors, officers and employees (for the purposes of this paragraph, collectively, the “Tournament Administrators”) shall be responsible for or bear any liability for: (i) late-received, lost, unintelligible/illegible, incomplete, or misdirected registrations, entries or Game scores; (ii) entries or game plays which fail to comply with the Official Tournament Rules; (iii) any technical or human error that may occur in the administration of the Tournament or Finals, including any problems or technical malfunction of any computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, all of which may affect an Entrant’s ability to participate in the Tournament or Finals, or the ability of Sponsor to receive and/or record and Entrant’s Game score; and (iv) any unauthorized human and/or mechanical intervention in any part of the entry process or the Tournament or Finals.

Then we will gladly make second accounts and just gain the games to enter tier 1 once more.
This issue has gone on for far too long and I would like straight answers and I would like them ASAP. It is a shame that for a world wide competition players are neglected a chance of wining just by pure occurrence.
I digress. I will yet again state the facts on our side.
We have registered and received email confirmation from -Yoink!- gaming.
We have received email confirmation that the competition has started.
We have not changed our gamer tags since two years ago, in my case(never).
We have not infringed on any rules or regulations of the tournament or of 343i rules of matchmaking or of the terms of service of XBL.
We have achieved the fastest times of all players on the leaderboards presently.
We have also achieved enough games to be within the top 10.
We are not presently visible on the leaderboards.
We have not received ANY notice of ban or disqualification.
That is all for the facts at hand presently. However I have my own little rant.
As per waypoint “The Halo 4 Infinity Challenge Weekly Update - Week 2
by B is for Bravo · 12.24.2012 09:00” was posted at this time and celebrated the Infinity Challenges second week. In this article it praises the “VISABLE” players who have achieved the first 20 ranks in both Spartan Ops and War games. I my self love the idea of a World wide challenge held by the game studio who produced the game (produced by the last stand and -Yoink!- gaming). I think it is important for a studio such as 343i to set the standard to new ways of making and supporting its games as well as creating Challenges for both in game (daily/weekly/monthly), and this “new”(not invented by 343i or -Yoink!- gaming, however the first to be implemented in a Halo title making it “new” for lack of a better word) method of world wide challenge leaderboards. I being a Computer Science student at my local university under stand that making something to track players stats is fairly simple, but for a world wide setting that is secure and robust I understand that there will be errors when trying any “new” thing. What really gets me however is that I have competed and tried hard to do my best and what I have received is a void. In the past seven days I have not only had to tell players how the whole tournament works I also had to explain that, I and others have been afflicted by a bug that renders our gamer tags non-existent from the leaderboards. Which brings me to the purpose of this paragraph of text. After all these days and after all the support that -Yoink!- gaming and 343i have provided in this 343i news post on the second week of the tournament there is NO mention of the issues that occurred in the tournament. Not even a shout out to any one for bringing up the issues that would have probably have been over looked if some one wasn’t dissatisfied with there experience in this “Challenge”. Further more the kicker is that at the end of the news article… and I quote

I find this most laughable because he states the clips should be from the entire Infinity Challenge however Theater clips can only be taken from war-games and not Campaign or for this matter of the challenge Spartan Ops.
So 343i, I and probably others would like an answer… were mistakes made, or is pride more important than recognizing your players and owning up to your own mistakes?
