Hay all,
I have been playing Halo since CE. Recently got back onto Halo 5 after not having a sufficient internet connection for a year or so. I am writing this while waiting out a 2.6 +/- hour ban. I believe it’s mainly for quitting matches. I get frustrated from time to time for all the usual reasons one might be frustrated with their teammates in Halo Multiplayer. I am conscious of the penalties for quitting and other bad behavior and I try to correct my behavior when the banhammer strikes. But when my still delicate internet connection decides to fail at the tale end of a match, after it is over, but while it is still wrapping up at the end… it compounds on previous indiscretions and slaps me with another, even more severe ban. I really want to fly straight and play by the rules. I understand why the rules are in place and I agree with what 343 is trying to accomplish.
With that said, I would like to know… is there a point at which a player’s RECORD of misconduct and penalties is reset? Will my penalties continue to compound until I am basically expelled from the game? I recall the system resetting every 24 hours in past installments of the Halo series.
I would appreciate any answers and insights or advice on the subject. Because I love this game so much, that when I get banned it SUCKS! I mean it really hurts me. Deep.
I just wanna play.
