After a decent amount of hours I think a couple things are either too strong, or underwhelming. For starters the Overshield, while doing its job, makes you a literal walking tank. You can mindlessly push 3 enemies with it up and not worry due to the severe EHP increase,at present it feels like the overshield has more HP than the spartan itself, maybe a start of 10% reduction next test/beta and see how the feedback pans out in comparison to this flight. The delay between throw, land, deploy on the Barrier Shield leaves a lot to be desired, understandably its not supposed to be used as a sort of ‘Fortnite wall’ but it also requires around 3-4s to setup, which can mean the difference between life or death in those tense situations and it means you have to think MUCH farther ahead in terms of placement and usability when being pushed, or even just taking control of an area. It feels like less of a tactical asset and more of a ‘Ill place this here, forget about it and use it a bit when enemies are in that direction.’ In terms of the Bots behavior it really feels like they have no individuality and are a hive-mind. First day you could run left everytime and be met with the entire opposing side of bots, they all use relatively the same combat tactics, grenade, handgun, grenade again. On the topic of grenades, those bots have a PhD in geometry with grenades specifically even on the Marine level.
Overall I’m really enjoying this test, I know most of the optimization and bugs will be stomped out before release so thank you for bringing us this title and I hope to be invited to the next test!
I agree with the wall deploy it takes too long to be deployed especially considering it can break so easily. As far as overshields go i think its fine its a POWER UP u get like 3 per match and it lasts like 20 seconds roughly and u lose shield has time goes on i think its fine the way it is. but im glad u are enjoying urself so far and thanks for the input.
