Single armor pieces should not be more than 1-3 dollars. Full armor set bundles should be more than $8-10 and even then that is pushing it.
The daily bundle today (29JAN2022) of 3 A.I colors for $2 is a fair deal. much more expensive would be ridiculous.
thoughts? I know that they are adjusting the store again when season 2 starts.
Edit1: Obviously there should be MUCH more armor and cosmetics that can be gotten through progress and achieving things. Maybe getting a perfection or killionaire or reaching 10000 games/wins. IDK something that incentivizes playing without paying.
Yeah, the last thing even though it was the first thing 343 made sure was up and running for this beta should be the last thing their focus is on.
The shop doesn’t need anything at this point because it is working as intended. 343 needs to pull their head out of their… and make good on their promises, period. You guys should be all over their… about getting a road map, the missing content, etc… not a lame shop that does absolutely nothing at all to improve anything in this game.
Nothing personal, but the shop ruined Halo because 343 is bassing the entire game around it instead of creating a quality type of game, and you guys that are so focused on the lame shop are not helping this game one bit.
Next week will be the fractures event again, so the normal items that could be in the shop like the chest knife or Anubis will be shifted to another non-event week.
Ok. For one, this is a post about the shop because I was focusing on one of many issues with the game. IDK about you, but the gameplay and feel of the game is superb (obviously Desync isnt making the game better).
Also the team that deals with the shop is not the team that deals with the multiplayer, or the progression, or the campaign, etc. They can take a multi-faceted approach because they have the different departments for that.
The shop is here to stay, so I would rather critique and talk about it to make it more consumer friendly rather than never talk about it and 343 never makes it better. in the past 4 weeks 343 has released 3 larger updates on what they are working on and the timeframe for their release.
Of course I would have liked many more things in this game at launch. But they werent there and we have all harped on it quite a lot; best thing we can do is give our opinions and have 343 take those into consideration for updates. At least 343 isnt dead silent and just letting the game die.
Yeah, ideally overtime, 343 will remove as much FOMO from the game and make it so a player that picks it up in 3 years can still access as much of the content as we could access on day one (excluding events because thats kind of the point of them).
Just saying, It doesn’t matter if the team with the shop deals with MP or not or what team is working on whatever. What matters is the higher-ups that make all the calls. So you posting this is irrelevant to what was actually being said. It’s just an excuse and nothing more that has never worked when anyone tries to use it.
So, if they don’t ever make it better and they are manipulating the system as everyone has seen. How doesn’t this change anything when they don’t want to change it for our benefit? It looks like to me that this is a pure waste of time trying to change someone’s mind that is (unwilling to change. )
I don’t know if I think AI colors are really fair at all. This is the sort of thing they could do via a color palette. The AI don’t have a system like armor coatings. They’re just two colors. It takes practically no work to change AI colors. I think they should all be free.
So in your nihilistic view, what should we do? just accept death and that the game is dead and doomed? I’m confused man, because if you feel like that then why do YOU post on the forums? You clearly don’t believe this is worth it and that the devs dont care.
Yeah in a perfect world the game would have been $60, not free to play, and would work similar to halo 3/Reach in customization and progression. Unfortunately we don’t get that and so I don’t think the store will ever feel fully fair priced since we used to get all this stuff for free with progress.
My point of the “fair deal” was in the context of the halo we have now, not from previous halos
Stop buying from the shop because the only thing that shop is doing is making 343/Microsoft wallet bigger.
Did you know the original Bungie that made the original Halo franchise, made that franchise 5 billion without a shop? Shops don’t make a game, the players do and as long as the players feed their greed, things will never really change and that is a fact.
Case and point were are still in beta mode. What has 343 really offered other than the lame shop?
I never said I liked the shop. I don’t like it at all. Also I haven’t bought anything from the shop because I agree that if you vote with your wallet, companies will listen.
I’m not happy that Halo went F2P, I wish it was $60 for the whole game, with no shop, and a great progression system, but I don’t believe that Halo Infinite will change so drastically to remove the shop entirely.
So rather than sit and complain about something that probably will NEVER change. I would rather debate and discuss about what 343 can do to make the Shop more palatable and fair to the consumer.
You also know that with Online shops, most people dont buy much of anything, its mostly the “whales” that spend 100s or 1000s of dollars on items.
Also about your 5 Billion dollars: Rockstar Games makes an easy Billion or more dollars per year on GTA V from shark cards. There is no doubt that the F2P model is VERY profitable, big franchises wouldnt be catering to that if it didnt.
Also, 343 has made an impressive campaign and a very quality multiplayer in terms of gun play and feel of the game. I love this halo, its in the top of Halos i’ve played and it isnt even as good as it will be in the coming year; given how MCC turned out, I have faith that 343 will make good on this game (sadly it is coming WAY past launch date, which will leave a sour taste in my mouth)
Don’t get me wrong, I’m just throwing things out there. 343 had a chance to follow through with their own words and do good by the player base but they chose to go the complete opposite.
I understand people want to see things improve, my problem is I see the reality of what is actually taking place that many refuse to look at, and that reality is that 343/Microsoft doesn’t want the same things as most of the players base does. A quality type of game that is created for both, the player base as well as themselves that could significantly improve things.
There is nothing wrong with any game having a shop, but when a shop becomes the priority over the rest of the game, Houston we have a problem. This new Bungie did this with Destiny 2, and by doing so they literally destroyed the concept of destiny. 14 years later and the game is a disaster because of the shop
So you missed the changes for the Yoroi Armor event? And the BTB fixes? And the new Attrition gamemode? and the removal of CTF on Behemoth from Ranked? and the addition of earning premium currency in the Season 2 Battle Pass?
Dude a lot has been fixed in the last 3 weeks and they are continuing to update us on the road map as well as fix/add things. You’re choosing to look at one complaint (from fans) and action (from devs) rather than the whole picture.
My point is that they are putting forward positive changes and constantly updating the playerbase on that progress. I’m sorry if that isnt enough for you from a company 1/8th the size of Activision
