Adjust the bans

I’m an avid player of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and usually playing social 4v4 or BTB, I understand the frustration it can bring a team to have players quit. Especially in a 4 vs 4 match where coverage is a life or death situation. Unfortunately I feel that if you are wanting to create a banning system that is just, it requires a lot more work. I play on both the Xbox Series X and the personal computer. I had to stop playing on the Xbox Series X(Same issue happens on Xbox One and One X) because the console would crash, it’s always you hear a buzzing sound followed by a freezing of the screen. Then I’m fairly certain that the system then does a hard shutdown to prevent damage that the game might cause to the hardware.(This is an educational guess, I’m not a Microsoft/Xbox Engineer/Technician)

Of course once you restart the system and try to play online again you get a ban. If there is a system in place to ban quitters there needs to be a way to accurately verify rage quitting through the menu or from the force Quit from the dashboard. Perhaps forgive other (Did Not Finish)DNF games, yes this can be abused, however I think this will help out what active community members are left. If a person does rage quit and I have seen this numerous times as well as you I am sure, a person that has rage quit a match will usually load up a different game(there are exceptions such people quitting from pub stompers). With as many issues as the game has on console and with the now ridiculous ban times I feel this needs to be looked into or just removed. As is this is not a just automated system, “it’s oh the game is still being played but username is not in game lets send ban.”

Here is why I started this post I play on PC most of the time as the MCC likes to choke out the Xbox but PC has its issues as well. I have had the game crash on me, just a crash and you get a teeny tiny little dialog box saying TITLE:“The UE4-MCC Game has crashed and will….” Dialog:“Fatal error!” Button:“OK” so why is the MCC using Unreal Engine 4 I thought it was it’s own engine from Bungie, Saber, and 343 Industries in house so why UE4? Anyway not what I want to know. I load back up the game to play after an obvious crash, and assuming the game would have at least a simple fail safe knowing that it was a crash as it launched the error, nope I get a ban. I understand that there are too many variables in place to say why it crashed without tracing the event logs, viewing dump files, need to verify files, update firmware, or maybe the color of LEDs on my PC are the wrong color, etc… (or maybe you do know and don’t want to say)

I feel at this point the bans are more frustrating than the players that quit, so much so that I came to this forum to state my opinion on the matter. I know a lot of community member that do not even want the bans, so who thought it was a good idea to increase the ban times? I really hope that this isn’t a system you will be using for Halo Infinite. Now I know there might be a handful of people that will want to reply saying “mY xBoX NeVEr hAs AnY ISsUeS wITH pLaYInG HaLO MCc!” Well good for you, if mine worked like yours I wouldn’t have posted this.

So now that my ban is almost up I will go ahead and finish this post.

TL;DR: FIX MCC… please

P.S.TL;DR: Add more Halo CE unlockables, there is way too much Halo 3 flooding that market.

P.P.S.TL;DR: If this is the wrong forum I apologize moderator, please don’t just say wrong forum and lock. Be kind and redirect the post, you don’t have to I can just copy and paste.

P.P.P.S.TL;DR: Have a nice day
