Addressing all the madmen on the forums~

So, whoever is mad/annoyed at 343i right now, I’m addressing this to you.

First of all, invisible rank complainers. The game is gold; Instead of complaining about no rank, ASK for visible ranks somewhere else. If we can’t have it visible in-game, have it patched into an update of Waypoint or something; We can access it in game, after all.

Mad about playlists being gone? Calm down. Things like normal FFA and SWAT are here; They’re all under the ‘Slayer’ Variant beside things like Team and Infinity Slayer. They’re just not yet in the game.

People who complain about 343 not doing stuff - It’s 4 days before release. They worked over 3 years for this, and are in a much more stressful position than what Bungie had. I think it’s time they had a small holiday, but they aren’t. They’re still working.
So you have a question? Come on, just 4 days. 96 hours. Take away approximately 32 hours for sleep, its 64 hours. Only. Then take away the time you aren’t worrying about Halo.

And then you’ll be able to get Halo 4, which is just about the answer to all your questions.

Come on, guys. While I’m not saying complaining is a bad thing, Let us enjoy these 4 days before release.

After all, once it is released, everybody will be complaining about things that kill them, over and over. It’s gonna be a big mess, and the calm before the storm should always be enjoyed.

When people are displeased with something, they will complain.
When a lot of people are displeased with something, a lot of them will complain.

You can’t just expect something like this to be taken lightly.

Invisible Rank?
Meh, at this point I don’t care, i’m just glad the game is coming out soon and we get to continue the story. Props to 343i for getting this game done.

People are entitled to their opinions, and if no one complained, ranted, vented, was constructive etc, there would be no forum.

Taken lightly? Oh, no. That’s not what I mean.

I’m just saying, now isn’t the time. 4 days.

343 should have thought of that ahead of time.

Thank christ… someone made a post which could possibly shut them all up, thanks op and have a cookie XD

You do know that if the content here is not something you want to see, you can just not view it, right?

Did’nt the update say that they are working on a way for people to view their ranks and progress through the internet at some point?

You mean the (note: following material spoils you the Reach) Madmen of Reach ?

Its like a flood parasite infection. If you don’t stamp it out and poison it to death now, it’l grow and spread until its everwhere.

Except that’s a good thing. Until it sucks. Which it doesn’t! Not yet.

It just seems, though, that everything said before a game released is possibly stupid. And everything released after the game is out is probably either:

A. Something which actually has a problem (Rare)
B. Other people are complaining about something which might or might not have a problem, so I just go with the flow. (Uncommon)
C. That -Yoink- killed me. He’s a hacker/bk/cheater/this game lags/this game sucks/Im leaving/this gun sucks/this map sucks/I’m pro (Common)
D. Praising the game about things which suck (Remember people who loved Armor Lock?). (Uncommon-Common)
E. Troll threads. (Common on bungie, uncommon here, but enough to give a good laugh).
F. Buh MLG, I am MLG, this guy kill me, haxorzz. (See C.)
G. I ‘represent’ a community/group of people/playlist specific people whom I never got consent from to complain about something.
H. That guy is a -Yoink-.

Or and you are leaving out the most common one.

Players voicing concern over things that will undoubtedly be things everyone complains about in the coming weeks.

Say what you want about MLG guys being stuck up or whatever you want to but fact is those same guys pointed out the very things in Reach that frustrated the entire community before the game was launched.

Guess what the reaction was… We were met with this same nonsense of “You havent even played it yet” or “This game isn’t just for competitive players!” all while ignoring the fact that we are talking about the community as a whole not enjoying things.

Case and point: Oddball auto pickup in Matchmaking. This is a very silly thing to do which I believe will get changed very quickly. Same goes for flag auto pick up not having an option to be shut off. In the few days after release the very same people who have been telling the competitive players to “adapt” will be on here throwing a temper tantrum because they had rockets and the enemy threw the ball at them and they auto grabbed it. This is just one example.

Nobody is forcing you to come here.

People have issues with the game, get over it. Not everyone is going to love every change.

lol. I was joking. Essentially though, if you don’t like what someone believes the game should be like then yeah, you find where they are and shut them up and hide their view as much as possible or it will be repeated enough and grab 343i’s attention and they will likely make said changes in dlc/next Halo. Therefore, you force yourself to shutdown or persuade people into different opinions to maintain your own as dominant.

However, I wouldn’t really mind if they made all those changes about competitive gaming and ranking everyones been complaining about.

just as easy, one could you say guys lost, get over it. see how that works?

Going round and round about isnt going to change things for the better, it only divides the community further apart. But after all, thats what you want, to be divided and ascended, careful what you wish for, being king of the hill isnt always the best place to be, especially when its a pile of garbage.
