Addressing a ton of Halo Infinite issues in a big, meaty post

It used to give hitmarkers every bullet in the flight which was really nice! My current issue with the BR is that I don’t know how to adjust my aim mid-burst. I can’t tell if I am missing the 2nd or third bullets.

Pretty much sums it up. Another minor issue I’ve got: The objective-specific challenges. To be blunt, its turning players into poor sports. People quit matches if its not the game they want. Players will stall and sometimes even throw games to faster complete their challenges. Players get abnormally aggressive trying to get power weapons/vehicles hoping to complete any challenges related to them. Its a mess.
Really any sort of progression challenge that forces players to play a specific or unusual way, especially in multiplayer where other people are leaning on them, is a very bad idea.

Wait till people find out, it’s early enough for them to change it if people complain enough

Not enough people are talking about how short the TTK is, and that is honestly incredibly damaging for Halo’s design. The ‘combat dance’ needs time to breathe, and decisions to be made. Do I fall back to a more advantageous location, do I exit cover to return suppressing fire to cover my teammates, so I switch to another weapon to try to turn the tides. This also grossly limits the possibility of ‘comebacks’ in a 2v1 scenario; you don’t get any chance to make a decision to lead to that comeback because you are already dead.

While these moments CAN happen in Halo Infinite, most combat encounters are going to lead to less moment to moment decision making the combat less fun. Increase the TTK and give me and my opponents more of an opportunity to outplay each other.

Plasma weapons are pointless in MP. There’s no power in any of them. Plasma weapons are good for shields then kinetic weapons do the rest, but if you use a plasma weapon then switch, it’s so slow that you loose the advantage, if you had any,. So why make weapons available that are never going to be used?

Yeah definitely agree on both points. Collisions were really nice and I think they could’ve addressed the issue of bumping and pushing much more easily by just improving the ability to slide past teammates, without turning collisions off.

As for TTK, I agree I think it’s fine in 1v1s, but because the AR in particular has so much range, it’s very hard to actually get in a 1v1. The AR’s damage should only be as high as it is up close, in my opinion, so that you don’t get melted when two people see you from far away (especially cause when they’re that far, you can’t see them on radar or even spot them quickly enough to do much about it).

No friendly fire also makes 1v1s less common as the enemy’s allies can just throw grenades into the fray without dealing damage to their teammate, so even when you win a 1v1 you often get blown up by their allies’ grenades.

try lowering your resolution scaling to 1080… its lower graphics but it runs at 144fps… hopefully they attend to this and fix it soon.
