I think adding ranked doubles and slayer playlists would really help boost active user count. One ranked playlist is getting a bit stale. I personally haven’t had interest in playing for a couple of weeks but know that I and many others I’ve polled would be excited to jump back in with new ranked playlists. Ranked duos and slayer would be huge. And if you’re also able to remake a few halo 2 and 3 maps until you have time to work on new infinite maps, that would be huge too.

I look forward to the addition of ranked doubles, assuming that comes to the game. It was a ton of fun in Halo 5 and would love to see it here too. Just so competitive and so thrilling when you and a buddy can come out on top!
I think they need to fix the bad progression/challenge system, netcode, matchmaking, game stability, and cheaters. Until they do that, I’m not sure adding more ranked playlists is going to do anything.
New maps would probably bring people back at least temporarily. But the above underlying issues are the main issues IMO.
