I think it would be cool if we can build our forge map, then also add the covenant and or the flood to the map. Playing with your friends in a multiplayer map with AI’s or making your own mini campaign mission. I believe that would be a cool and fun idea, what do you guys think.
it would be cool but there would probably be limitations on how many you can put and what we can have them do. If possible , id imagine you can make them move like in campaign (run around like idiots) and attack anyone against a specific team like with what we have in warzone assault
I think that is a little more complicated to do than it appears, as nice as it would be. That being said, even a small “gamecheat13” type arena for players to mess with the AI would be a big hit. One can dream.
Its one reason that proper mod support would be a huge boon to Infinite and the franchise as a whole. I loved just playing around with the Warcraft III editor and the things folks can make when they are given proper mod tools it would help insure Infinite is played for years to come.
It be really cool to see it. I mean if modders and DOOM 2016 can do it then at least its possible. Though I wouldn’t blame anyone for limitations like how much memory a map can handle before breaking things like overloading maps in Halo 3 and Reach. So I’m guessing AI would have a high price tag on the forge budget if 343i puts it in forge. I think it be neat to give players the ability to create AI pathing like Divinity Original Sin 2. It could get rid of issues of AI walking into player spawned objects. Allowing players to editor or turn regular forge maps into firefight or Spartan OPs isk missions could bring new community made gamemodes and longevity to Halo Infinite. And if Mod support is every added, that game could go on for decades.
But I’ve very curious to see what the Slipspace engine can do and can’t do.
I’m expecting nothing less if 343 has invested years into a new engine to keep up with their ambitions. And if you call your game ‘Infinite’, then we are expecting user-generated content that go beyond multiplayer maps. Singleplayer/co-op encounters is what it implies, 343.
