adding back old armor abilities

first of all i don’t mean halo reach/4 armor abilities, but rather some even older ones from the halo 2 era. with smart scope, we lost the ability to zoom in far with certain weapons and not have a weapon model in the way. now i dunno about a lot of you but i love the way halo looks, and not being able to zoom in in the new xbox one engine will be sorely missed. halo has so excellent vistas, and not being able to stop for a second and examine them is sad

second of all, is the flashlight (night vision is cool too like in halo reach). now i realise halo 4 was purposely designed not to need this, but the old halos had some darker areas that required this. i loved the dynamic areas of light and dark and it added to the sense of exploration in the large set pieces halo is famed for. especially now with the amazing new lighting, i think no flashlight is really missing a trick

i propose these are assigned to the d-pad, which has always been woefully underused in halo. up could zoom in and out, and down could be d-pad. some people will say these are useless and make little difference, but to this i say: ‘why not’? why not have them? theyre simple to implement and having them gone just feels wrong. unless 343 has some use for the d-pad in this game up their sleeve that we dont know about, i think it should be included

Hmm… I honestly don’t see why they couldn’t just remove SS on the full-auto weapons and just bring back the visor-binoculars.
