Adding/Allowing custom multiplayer Spartans to be able to be used in place of Master Chief player model

I came across a post in one of my Halo Facebook groups and a member mentioned that it would be an awesome idea to add custom Spartans (your multiplayer Spartan) in place of the Master Chief player model.
Pretty much exactly the same way your player model works in Reach.

Mainly just want to use the NEW 1999 Orion Pre-release Armor in Halo: CE, 2, 3, 4 and Reach.

I’d actually really like this, especially in ODST if I can switch out for my Fire Fight ODST, It would make the rookie more unique after all.

I am pretty sure they added this with Season 8 - when starting campaign missions, the screen where you select scoring and time has an option to enable multiplayer customisation.

Unless this just enables weapon and vehicle skins, but I thought it would enable your spartan as well.

They have had the feature to enable custom vehicle and weapon skins in campaign, that I am aware of… I’m jumping on MCC now to check now about the spartan player model. But I don’t recall that being a feature currently…

EDIT: I just checked, as I thought ONLY custom weapon and vehicle skins display in campaign unfortunately not the custom player model though

But the firefight characters are just the other characters from the campaign…

I mean the Rookie, as you’d be able to change his color scheme and have your emblem show up.

Oh yeah that makes sense.

Considering there’s already a mod on the Nexus that does that for both Halo 3/4, it’s possible,; however, the customization would have to be restricted by game. It’s not as simple as just plopping in armours from other games. That’s not only a good way to bloat the game’s size (as the data for each cosmetic needs to be added to each map), but also a good way to deal with engine problems. So, you wouldn’t be able to use Orion in any of the games, as CE and H2 don’t have custom armour support, and Orion is H2A exclusive.

That just enables weapon and vehicle skins.

Turning on the setting also updates your visor color in Halo: CE.
