Add VETO Button

I think that the bringing back the VETO button would be a legit thing…it should. H3 HR had it,so why not do it for the people who want choices gamewise? Also make a counter button for Reqs so we can sell more than one weapon or vehicle at a time.

We used to have far better. Then MCC ruined it because people only wanted to play one game type.
Actually it goes as far back as Reach, when you could vote for what you wanted to play, so everyone chose the SAME BLOODY THING

If we have a veto button, then people would always stick to playing a couple maps/game modes and allow nothing else. I’ve seen it first hand on Reach and MCC, it isn’t good. The current system we have now, while not perfect, at the very least allows for multiple maps to be considered for play without popularity being a deciding factor. I’d pick that over veto anyday.

Disagree… Veto just leads to the same maps being played over and over much like voting. Granted not as bad as voting but close enough.

I honestly just like what we have now. I hate going back into Reach, Halo 4, and MCC and missing out on maps that I never get to play simply because they are not the most popular ones. This way, we get to enjoy a good variety of maps. Just my two cents.

A counter button for Reqs would be nice. A veto button… not so much.

Now we are stuck with the same 3 maps no one wants to play anymore

You mean a veto system like in Halo 3 when you decline this 1 map, everyone in the lobby is forced to play the next map randomly selected? If so, okay I’m alright with that.

The voting system that Halo Reach, 4 and MCC did was, players picking the same map over and over again. I lost count how many times I played Avalanche (Halo 3) in MCC and lost count how many times Hemorrhage in Halo Reach was picked.

Veto is a good idea. Once you veto a match, the next is random giving more variation to play.

I prefer veto over vote, but that’s not by a total overshoot. H3 had veto and it kinda sucked when a fun map was passed.

Than reach had vote, although it isn’t as bad as mcc, there are a lot of maps that don’t/shouldn’t be played that get voted little, or to often.

They have a chrome extension that allows you to sell multiple reqs.

Well aware, but you shouldn’t have to go the extra mile to such things.

Veto and Vote are two different systems guys. Veto is in halo 3.

Veto imo was the best thing. I agree voting stagnated the maps to a few specific ones out of many from reach, but veto to me is necessary considering how many times these forge maps are “randomly” chosen each game. Nobody needs to play mercy 6/10 maps when the other 4 are empire. Variety is the spice of life

Random > Veto > Voting
Halo 2/Halo 5’s system was definitely the best system they could offer.
I didn’t have a big problem with Halo 3’s veto system, but I just wanted a bit more variety into multiplayer.
Halo Reach/Halo 4/Halo MCC’s voting system was where I wanted to explode everytime. Everyone just picks the same map over and over, and in MCC, everyone picks Halo 3 over and over (and even worse, the same 2/3 maps), there was little to no variety in multiplayer.

yes the halo 3 way.

People VOTED the same 2-3 maps in Halo Reach every time because there literally were ONLY A HANDFUL OF GOOD MAPS!!

Maybe the issue isn’t the voting system but a lack of decent maps.

In halo reach there were only 4 good maps for casual players. Sword base (inB4), countdown, reflection, uncaged. Everything else was legit garbage.

Not to mention when they added in that horrible gametype in infection called zombie ghosts. Without the voting system everybody would just dashboard it instead of playing horrible unbalanced gametypes and ugly maps only suited to hardcore players who want “no armour abilities, no bloom, no visual aesthetics that detract from the map, no textures on the walls, no sprint, no gluten, no sugar, no carbs after 6pm and no peanut butter”

Solution:

Implement a voting system and produce better maps.

Another simplistic decision that 343 decided to say well … that works really well I know we’re remove it for no reason at all because it’s our halo now

The Halo 3 veto system was the fairest of all and clearly superior to voting.
