Hello my sweet Sugardaddys,
We all know Halo wars 2 got Potential and here is a guide how2.
First u need to give every leader special units same as it was in HW 1.
Next step u need to give every unit upgrades not just 2 its not good cmon u see how the players hate it.
Then we need new Factions like Flood or Prometyboys (hope u know what i mean).
Following new Units i mean heyyyyy u wanna see the same units and the same boring moves every game? No u dont. There are obviouse Units like Pelicans or mongoose or even Elephants.
And then finally u can do cool things like e-sport or dlc content.
So keep in mind the game is great but u can improve.
I’m really sorry for my english its not my mothertongue but i hope there are people who give great content ideas in the comments. :slight_smile:

and why?

The reason you have different leaders is for variety. Some leaders are more unique than others. Random Griebel is just proposing that the leaders stand further apart from each other. I think a lot of the problem is the weaker/ less popular leaders need some help in order for them to represent what they are all about. I like your idea to bring out unique units for every leader and not just for DLC leaders. In Halo Wars there was 2 for each leader. I think at least 2 for each leader is good. Every leader currently has their own hero which is a good start. Besides the weapons the Spartan heroes carry for Cutter, Anders, and Isabel they are the same. Maybe even they could be more different in their own way. I think introducing a new species would be cool. We would all buy it.

I totally agree with more unique abilities and upgrades for all units! It gives the game that much more variety of content and most importantly FUN! Regarding the Spartans, I think a viable option is allow Spartans to be upgraded to be able to carry any weapon we want them too, maybe even be able to pick up any weapon off the battle field like from a killed elite guard or something. I did notice that the new Jerome leader and omega team are not able to hijack vehicles, I really don’t like that as at least Jerome should be able to hijack after he’s deployed his mech.

unique units should be added to dlc characters, also the weapons the Spartans have aren’t the same, difference in damage and firing rate

I would like to be able to use the TextPads that can be plugged into the controllers. Being able to assign units to keys would be sweet.

just a random idea, but what if you could choose the weapons your spartan could use? say instead of starting with dual pistols they start with a battle rifle then upgrade to a sniper rifle or something. assault rifle to chain gun. what do you guys think?

or the ability to put marines on the sides of a tank like they would in the FPS games.

I like these ideas, however I don’t REALLY see the point in the marines sitting on tanks for anything other than looks or fun because im willing to bet if the tank explodes then so does that squad of marines, so separate marines might be better but who knows. I do agree entirely about weapon selection for spartans. being able to choose which loadout would be sweet, a rogue spartan running around with a sniper rifle would be pretty dangerous for infantry opponents. being able to switch back and forth between weapons would also be cool, probably would only be fair though during re-spawn or something when the spartan dies.

Would it be too powerful for all omega team and Jerome to be able to hijack? would they be too powerful??

Its ok! You tried you’re best and I can see where you’re coming from.
Also, mostly every leader in this game has a special unit, do you mean give special units to Leaders that don’t have them already, like Isabel? Cause a lot of them have even more variety than Halo Wars 1!
Secondly, I would love to see upgrades, and somewhat more importantly, I’d like to see a reason why some units don’t have them, is it ease of efficiency? Is it balance? I’d just like to know so I’m not on the wrong side in that subject
New factions like flood? Definitely, It would be very hard however so I would understand why they didn’t here, and if Halo Wars 3 ever releases, I would definitely wonder why it wouldn’t be a thing.

Here, I’m actually not sure what you mean, cause there is a thing called Dominant Strategy, and as one wise Jontron once said “If there is one, you are GOING to use it”
The strategy in this game is specially and delightfully simple yet complex and hard to pickup for some people, in it that Countering, reacting, and creating units accordingly will win and sometimes lose you battles. Unless a new Leaders unit is OP and uncounterable by anything at all, than it is welcome to the table, because something like a Pack of Flamehogs might swarm a base and destroy it easily, but can easily be destroyed in a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. If you knew he was building flamehogs, you could have built hunters, or air units, and if you didn’t, well, that’s on you.
Things like this either force them or you to change up strategy in order to win games. In competitive, there usually no such thing as “Same boring moves” (With the exception of Banshee Spam -_-, which even than, could be wiped out by using AA vehicles properly).
New leaders don’t usually change this, unless you don’t know how to fight them, in which the only time you’d ever have this problem, is if you have never fought that Leader before, didn’t know what to expect, and got mopped-the-floor with.

  1. Special units would be cool but I don’t think it’s completely necessary for every leader to have one & in a way they do cutter odst, Andrea sentinels, Isabel shield tanks, shipmaster elite grunts, & well decimis has ultimate drop
  2. Having too many upogrades might make some units OP or throw off balance issues more especially if it changes their game mechanics and the way they are used
  3. We really don’t need new factions. It would have been cool to have another but the flood are lacking in units they were designed to be fought in fps and to make then rts viable would require a lot of pulling stuff out their butts and the Prometheans might be cool but they kinda hollow characters and forse just save them for HW3 plus it would be like balancing a whole 1/3 of the game so that they are equal to unsc and banished yet still being different like how marines are to grunts. this game has improved a lot from the first let’s not bite the hand that feeds us
  4. I think the best way to improve the game would be to add new maps and game modes (as a start) because that would give the game more longevity. If you think about it it’s kinda the way they treated halo 5 with no game types or maps at the start but loads of unnecessary reqs

Oh totally! You just summed my argument against Unit upgrades.

Everything else, I agree with, but I actually do think that Halo Wars 2 leader DLC’s are of big significance to Longevity as well! Both Maps, Modes and Heroes are very important in their own rights, Maps maybe more of a priority definitely, but having on 6 leaders will have the exact same result of a total 6 leaders in the entire roster, and while that might’ve been a good thing, remember, the wide public, including myself have a desire for more than just the average bear.
Cutter, Anders, Isabel, (Forge as well), And Atriox, Decimus, and Shipmaster are the most standard.
In fact, in favour if creativity, Anders and Decimus take on very creative and strange roles such as Decimus being more effective based on the synergy between Siphon and Damage, and Anders, an entirely new slew of Units and abilities pertaining sentinels.
So that Leaves Cutter, Isabel, and Forge, as well as Atriox, and Shipmaster.

This is alright, but some people could yearn for what newness and creativity we recieved with the new leaders, again, referencing Kinsano, Colony, Jerome, Arbiter, and Johnson.
In a way, you could argue that these are like Unit upgrades, but remember, everything can be done right. Overwatch over at Blizzard Studios comes out with new heroes almost every few months, and their focus and effort makes them as balanced as possible, and 343/CA are taking the same approach (Like any game should).
What if people don’t want to play the small and lacking roster of Average leaders?
We’re two very different standpoints yes, I’m just trying to show my side.
