ADD TRADING INTO HALO 5

I think 343 should add a REQ trade option into halo 5 so players can trade with each other. Please Add this in.

I am pretty sure you can trade or give away req’s already.

I think that’s only with gold req packs that you buy with real money. There are also some reqs they give, like the Valentines req that you can trade.

I mean in game as well. I have given away or traded weapons and vehicles.

I think the OP is referring to trading req cards in some sort of lobby not during games. I think this would be more trouble than it would be worth. #1 problem would be trolls trying to trade common reqs for mythic/high level reqs. #2 kinda ties into why you can’t gift packs with points is you would more likely create players claiming not having received items for the trade and there wouldn’t really be a way to prove it and it would lead to bad reports and what not.

I agree me and some of my friends would love to swap some arena boosts for some war zone and some xp for some RP as well!!!

I think it’s a good idea personally, I just think they won’t make it happen, you can gift Reqs already not really trading but still giving, I think trading personally would be a little complex for the meatheads of 343, if they put in grenade spam -_- and the many other infection spots they don’t fix for months on end then I wouldn’t think they would be focusing on trading, their to busy giving a new update a fancy name and a new reskin version of any armor set, and maybe one or two knew reqs that absolutely melt the competition, I would like to see this happen, I really would but personally I don’t think it’s gonna happen sadly.

I’ll give you 173 Mongeese for a Nornfang

While it does sound like a good idea, it’s a huge recipe for disaster if not handled correctly, and pretty much breaks their whole microtransaction system.

An easy one is that a player with a bunch of REQ points can just feed REQs to other accounts, and now everyone has a bunch of REQs.

Or you’ll have people trading commons for mythics, or vice versa.

i think it’d be really cool to do but unfortunately i don’t think 343 would add that into the game since people could just give each other the reqs they want. that means less players would feel compelled to buy req packs with real money. And we all know microsoft wants to get as much money as possible through the req microtransaction system in halo 5 as possible. Really good idea but not likely to happen

In my experience, trading in games can get dicey and many players end up getting scammed . Also trying to make a fair system would be too complicated and I’d rather have dev resources dedicated to fixing existing issues. Plus this wouldn’t really encourage REQ purchases, which is what 343 is all about.

Trading reqs, and gifting req packs with REQ POINTS. Its so fustrating that I have everything in the game with 100,000+ req points and my friend is a low-mid SR and I can’t help him out.
“We dont allow req packs gifted with req points to be gifted because that would cause financial problems.”
Stop being greedy with microtransactions and make your game better 343! Your helping the pay-to-win kids but not the people that actually play it?

Because all that has to happen is that people with a million REQ points give free REQs to everyone, and now no one has any reason to ever buy packs. They can just go ask for a generous donation from the “rich kids on top”.

Their microtransaction system is shattered on the spot, no one buys any packs. So they’ll either limit how you trade, or push towards other methods to make money, like map packs.

Basically what these guys are saying. I have 8 gold packs just sitting thre and probably 350k REQ points to boot. Never bought a pack with real money either, so I could literally just hand out every REQ under the sun to my friends without them even having to lift a finger.

While I would like to help my friends out, I understand why you can’t. One is obviously the money, the second is that I could offload 200 silver packs onto a friend who is SR10, and he gets free REQs without even playing. I could trade him 50 ghosts for 50 mongooses and it wouldn’t damage me a bit, but would give him a significant boost, know what I’m sayin?

Ok your right. I never thought of those guys with 1 million req points. Geesh. Maybe the trade system is better. Or something… we don’t have many options cause of the req system. The req system is just so bad, filled with microtransactions.

You get plenty of points by playing that can be used to get reqs so yeah they help players who don’t wanna pay for req packs.

This topic has been brought up quite a bit and the cons still outweigh the benefits.

Yeah, I think this would impact their microtransaction revenue too much so they won’t do it. Also I see no need.

I hear you OP but it’s just never going to happen. The entire reason the system exists as it is, is to get us to spend money. Like, I desperately want the H2BR for example, don’t have it yet. Why in the world would they let me trade someone else for it, when the alternative is me spamming tons of real world $ on Gold packs in the hopes of getting one randomly? That’s EXACTLY what they want me to do. So that’s why they won’t let me trade. Same thing goes for single use cards. I want more Nornfangs? They want me to spam packs because that makes them money. If I can just get one off a friend, that doesn’t make them money.

343 wasn’t able to even keep the 12 player fireteams they advertised at launch in warzone. How would they ever pull this off?

It would be awesome. Even if we could gift req packs we purchased with rp instead of real money. But I don’t think 343 is even the slightest bit interested in making it happen. All their decisions they make in warzone is to sell more reqs. Allowing players with req surplus to gift their reqs without spending money is counterintuitive to their end game.
