ADD SPLIT-SCREEN/LOCAL MULTIPLAYER

See this (and maybe sign it) for further details:

Split-screen has always been an integral part of Halo and I personally believe it was a huge mistake to cut it out of Halo 5. It needs to be added ASAP to recover the lost fans due to the lack of local multiplayer (in both the form of Co op campaign and split-screen multiplayer).

Please read the reason they did that before positing three times , they did that to keep the dynamic resolution , it is a core part of the game, it is a difficult fix and , besides I only know only 2 people who play local, most people I know play together through different consoles on the same network.

Do not get me wrong , it was a mistake to cut it, but it couldn’t have been helped, to include the new feature.

Still, it’s sort of completely ruined the game for me. As much as I love how smooth and such it is, I’ve already started losing interest and can’t play coop for the campaign. I’ve had several instances now where I have to awkwardly explain to friends why we can’t play halo 5 and have to resort to playing the master chief collection.

I understand the reasons but it’s still really depressing. Major step backwards and it’s been reflected in reviews and the opinion of a lot of peopl

I believe it is a dishonest marketing strategy which Forces players to buy Xbox one systems, Xbox Live Gold Accounts, additional copies of the game, and broadband internet. All of which benefits… not the players or community.

I believe it is dishonest to say the system FORCES anything, don’t like it don’t pay, it’s marked clearly on the box for its player count

But how many people don’t care? You could argue that point till you are blue in the face, but you have to understand the game graphicallywouod suffer, as well as the games over all performance, and map layouts.

Well, according to the petition to which I have a link, quite a few people care. I agree with carriath that this is simply a greedy market strategy so that friends will have to buy multiple systems and games. The dynamic resolution is simply an excuse for them to make more money. Now, the game has barely been out for a week. I still believe they have time to fix this. That’s why I posted this in the first place. Oh an, by the way, the multiple posts onto the forums were completely accidental, as I kept receiving error messages when I tried to post.

despite what 343 said about split-screen I am not so sold on the fact that split screen was impossible to add in. The Arena maps are quite small and a lot of special effects like wildlife in arena and damage lasting of structures for long periods of time really isn’t necessary. Warzone would have been made single player locally, I do feel as if 343 did not try all compromises to ensure split-screen’s implement. Unless a truly detailed report on their failed attempts is released I will continue to believe that 343 did not attempt everything in their power to give us split screen.

I do understand that somethings you wish to keep enclosed but we as the consumer deserve to know exactly why split screen isn’t possible, I’d take smaller campaign maps and such any day as long as I Have split screen.
