When they unveiled the Academy Mode in the Halo Infinite Multiplayer E3 Showcase, I totally thought it was going to include a social zone/ hub, where other Spartans can chill and hang out (think Destiny social hubs), I was literally ready to scream!
This was literally right after they explain the emphasis on community, citing cross platform play, and extensive customization then BOOM, the title card for Academy shines across the screen and begins tantalizing the viewer with a vast court yard that is screaming to be chilled in with the boys.
I think the whole idea of Academy would be more enjoyable with more than one person, like people I met online or with my friends of course. They can expand the variety with their battle-pass with fun inclusions emotes, accessories blah blah blah.

Academy would be a good hangout but I think emotes would be a little much. I couldn’t imagine doing much minus practicing with your friends or a clan against bots but even then if they added forge or firefight it would be useless other than just learning the game.

Weird, I made a very similiar post a few days ago but got no response
I also thought something like that was gonna be part of the academy, it certainly would be cool but u can do something very similar with the custom lobby so maybe its not something that would be in the game unless the community explicitly asked for it
When it comes to emotes I’m just meh, like they’re fine but not really my thing. A social hang out would be cool if it was on the Academy. But honestly, I’d rather just create my own map for social hubs.

When I first saw your title I thought of Destiny 2 where you can hang out in a social hub etc. It’s a cool idea, but not sure how it would function along side it being a training ground - could definitely see it getting messy quickly.
