Add RvB coatings

Add coatings for all of the RvB cast plz.
If you are using these coatings then your spartan should sound like your chosen coating.
For example if you are using a sarge coating you will look and sound like sarge.

kills an opponent on Blue Team
“Take that, ya dirty Blue!”

just thought of this one
gets team killed by some one with a blue team coating killed while on blue team and has the church coating on
“GOD -Yoink!- (Insert name)!!!”

How about they add color customization in for free and we DON’T have to pay for this?

Who said anything about needing to pay for these?

No one, but that is the potential implication of the way things are set up right now.

OT: I’d love to see RvB coatings as well. Cool way to keep the tradition of having RvB content in the games.

Aye, fair enough. That concern is understandable, given what we know (and more importantly, what we don’t know) about this new color system. I think it’d be cool to see special RvB-themed challenges to unlock coatings like those!

… RvB characters used base colors. So they aren’t really RvB-specific. Just use basic red for Sarge, basic blue for Caboose, etc.

I think the idea was that your Spartan would sound like the chosen character.

That was the main idea
There are a few characters such a as wash that dont use basic colors.

We just need voices like firefight voices back but in all game modes.
So you could be sarge if you wanted, or perhaps buck, or maybe you want to be guilty spark for some odd reason.

Yeah that’s probably not happening. Church and Canoose’s VAs aren’t even available anymore to do line recordings.

What Chimera said, they’ll likely just be base coatings with the option of pay…though I’m not sure who would pay for something so simple. To unlock in-game shouldn’t be difficult at all for base colors lol. Then again, them having Monarch, which is just a fancier name for purple and costing roughly 3-5 dollars perhaps.

It’s a little humorous, they’ll probably just call Blue as Indigo and red as Rojo, idk lmao, if there’s even an option to buy blue and red then that’s sad, I’d hope that people wouldn’t be so lazy as to just outright buy them, instead of unlocks in-game. Here’s to the hopes of having multiple unlocked free coatings at the start and not just starting with default coating only.

On a side note, I like the idea of the voice announcers. That’s basically what they did in Reach and H5, but I feel they should be a separate customization. I rather not have anything else locked into a coating, because that would just be limiting mix matching possibilities.

That’s a pretty nice and fun idea actually but I doubt it’ll make it into the game

I doubt it will make it too but at the very least can we choose our spartans voice and have it be like it was in reach.

That would be pretty cool!

Really? What happened to their VA’s? Also now that I think of it, I’m not sure how the whole coating thing would work in regards to incorporating RvB elements. I think maybe having the RvB characters as announcer options for multiplayer would make more sense.

Burnie left the country and Joel left the company.

To add on to the above, while Burnie may be open to doing VA work remotely, the split with Joel wasn’t on good terms. While I don’t agree with some of his stances on events, those were his opinions, and RT did him dirty by stocking up on voiced lines before showing him the door.

As for the actual topic though…
Depends on how the voiced dialogue would be for a “Coating”. If it is like Firefight where the dialogue is heard by other players, then I’d say “No”, as that would just wind up being annoying (also would have an impact on any game modes that might require stealth). If it was something that only the player with it equipped would be able to hear, then sure.

Odds are though it’d just end up being solid colors anyways, and at that point it really should be something available at the start like every other Halo game.
