I’m hoping that, as the game gets closer to launch, that the ability to earn credits through natural play rather than through JUST buying them will be added. Microtransactions, as annoying as they are, are understandable, but it would be great to be able to earn the credits through play like in Halo Reach (or the Season Points in MCC) to eventually purchase stuff from the shop.

Honestly if 343 DOESN’T add a free way to get credits, even if it’s only through challenges, I’m probably not gonna stick around outside of events.

They should do a Fortnite-esk Battlepass. Where you can earn Cr every other level to buy stuff from the store and/or the battlepass for the next season. This one right now is trash.

I saw all of the microtransactions and I just couldn’t help but think “What happened to the ‘plenty of cosmetics’ that players could unlock without spending any money that we were told about?”
I’m not trying to sound super negative. I’m just saying it’s undeniable that giving players the ability to actually earn credits would be extremely beneficial to the game’s long-term health.

I can’t help but feel 343 is trying to do the same things they did with 5, but instead of saying “deal with it” like they did with 5, they’re trying to be nice about it this time. Regardless if they really wanted to prove a point they would have launched the beta WITHOUT MTX.
