who agrees with me that 343 is being nicer than Bungie.

I know but, I hate expensive dlc for shooters!!! (Except for Fallout 3 & new Vegas) Expensive dlc is my personal pet-peeve

Actually, Bungie cut the base game and sold it off as DLC. They are to blame for the story being so garbage too, they called it esoteric and confusing.

You can’t compare them as of right now. Halo 5 just came out, destiny is in year 2. Wait till 343 actually gives content before comparing.

343 is making a lot more money on micro-transactions than it did on maps. The system is nice because some people drop hundreds of dollar on REQ, and some people have less money or want to ‘earn’ everything. Now both parties can be happy and everyone gets DLC. I used to dislike buying all the map packs (which, I always have for every Halo) and never getting to play the maps in MM b/c others didn’t buy them.
This is a great system, but micro-transactions are very dangerous in general. I worry moving forward.

You know same could be said by destiny gamers right? “This is a thread for halo forums” cuz the topic is about both games, not just one. Just a thought.
Sure are, nut I wouldn’t mind if 343 does paid dlc beyond the free maps. It could include maps too. for 20USD I imagine something like this:
- 2 Story Missions based on the Elites Civil War. You play as the arbiter.
- Since you play as the Arbiter they add Elites to Multiplayer. Not for Spartans vs Elites because it wouldn’t be balanced but adding Elite Slayer as a Playlist and maybe put it in Slayer and Team Arena too would be dope.
- 2x 4v4 Maps and 1x Warzone Map (Sangheili Maps)
- Add Sangheili assets to Forge.
Maybe something more like bringing back Firefight or something.
