After not touching ranked for several months, I decided to jump in. Even though I was having a ton of fun, I couldn’t help but notice that (to be expected from ranked) the average temperature of the maps was 120 degrees Fahrenheit, causing everyone to sweat uncontrollably. As far as I’m aware, if anyone wants to play 4v4 CTF, 4v4 Strongholds, and Oddball they must put up with such temperatures in the Team Arena ranked playlist. I propose that a social team arena playlist be added with these modes on rotation, or that the quick play playlist add these modes in addition to Slayer, so that people who prefer a cool 60-80 degree game don’t have to put up with the higher temperatures. If there are any reasons why this wouldn’t work or if this has been brought up before and I didn’t notice feel free to let me know.

While it would be nice to have those playlists be a little less sweaty in social, I’m actually having less sweaty matches in ranked than in Quick Play. And I constantly match Onyxes in full teams in ranked, for the sake of perspective.
If they would open social playlists up to full parties, that back in the day h3 social feel would likely be present.

Wow! I found it to be just the opposite. In Quick Play I went 20+ kills and single digit deaths for most of the matches I remember playing and in ranked I would get a more even k.d. I do realize that K.D does not equal sweaty I just stated this as a fact to show that I found ranked to be a lot harder and required a lot more concentration for me than Quick Play.

My Quick Play experience started out very much the same way as yours, back during my full Anubis days (SR 80-100, I believe). But I think that because my MMR started to rise, I began seeing moves like the Skrafe and the Plasma Nade weapon bounce.
