Sadly i think they have already made a killing… i mean i bought 5000 points, at the beginning because i thought they were going to release things at a reasonable price because they were making money from the campaign too… Boy was i wrong!!! i’ve only actually bought the season pass, but they still already got my money even if i don’t use the points. and you got people buying the mlg skins the cat ears and all the other BS…
2 maps per season is 8 new maps per year.

I honestly think they don’t have the team to really pump it out much faster. That’s why when they do update fixes it seems like hit or miss if said updates even fix anything.

Adding 2 maps are fine if both maps will be put into rotation for the general playlists. It’s that one is too large and likely can only be played in BTB that is the problem.

I bought the battle pass for 8.99 with credits. I didn’t think that was unreasonable. Paying $9 or 10 every few months isn’t bad. In the old days we used to have to pay for DLC anyways.
I just think the concept of paying 10 or 20 dollars for a single armor set is crazy. If they had some kind of seasonal bundle for the battlepass and all seasonal store items for like $50 or 60 I would consider spending more each season.

Agreed, that’s how I feel. We technically are only getting 1 map. Big team battle i’ve never been a fan of.
Could you imagine if Bungie said we’re releasing a map pack and that there’s 2 maps, like what??

I have no problem with the concept of a couple of maps per season.
And I’m sure there will be more once Forge hits.
But it is a bit frustrating to double the length of Season 1 and not get any more maps.
Surely they could dust off a couple of H5 maps. They would play well in the sandbox.

If the seasons were every 2 months it wouldn’t be so bad. But the game is so bare bones dry right now and maps is half the issue.

I imagine part of the problem is the delay to Forge.
2-3 maps a (three month) Season plus Forge maps would be more than enough.
But the delay of both Season 2 and Forge has left them exposed.
But really. What would be the barriers to bringing a couple of H5 maps over; Mercy, Fathom, Rig, etc.
In all likelihood: that quite a bit of work would be required to bring them over. You can definitely import them (the package system is similar enough) but you would still need the art teams to go over them to make them look proper with the newer engine’s lighting system, etc. And at that point we can just wait for the art team to finish the work on the other maps they have in the pipeline right now (going by Friday’s blog post there are a few maps that are already in the arting process - so they have completed designing and playtesting the layout).

Porting over maps I’m not too big a fan of, but if they must…. If I have to see sanctuary one more time I’d be upset.
Yeah a 6 month long season with 1 map is bad, then to wait another 3 months for 1 more. I’d imagine they would keep doing 1 and 1, which like the above poster said we’re really only getting 1 if you don’t play BTB. 2 maps a year (semi annual seasons) is terrible, 4 maps a year (quarterly seasons) is terrible.
Ruined it? BTB is all I generally play, I find it the most fun of the modes. So what’s actually wrong with it lol?

No, because the devs that do the actual work literally do not make any of the decisions for the game and never will. Oh, you do realize the team that creates MP maps is a totally separate team from everything else in this entire game?
6 years is plenty of time to make multiple maps, and CoD if 100% proof of that.
