Why should I care about anyone on fireteam Osiris but buck I don’t know anything about them but their names if 343 want’s a good story they need a new writer that knows how to tell a story I don’t want to see anymore of fireteam Osiris until I know their history alone and as a group cause who the hell is Vale and what ever the other girls name is. If something bad happens to them in halo 6 I wont care at all but if they acted more like noble team with their emotion ( Jorge and Emile acting kinda like brothers do seeing Emile sad after Jorge died made me cry 
I want that in halo 6 so please fire the writer of halo 5 and get a new one! And blue team why should I need to play to know who I am fighting beside in a war at least give as a story about the past of blue team and their first missions together I want to play them first fighting the covenant not watch it!

Wait I’m confused, you say that Osiris has no back story then praise Noble?
Noble team didn’t have any backstories release before the game and most of the stuff that has come out was made by 343 not Bungie.

Blue team already has a significant backstory… Probably the MOST significant backstory you can get…
Osris also has some backstory…
Noble team literally has almost no backstory…
Read the books, or at the very least visit the wiki.

And the fun part is that 343 said that if you haven’t read the books you can still understand or enjoy the game…I think even 343 doesn’t believe in what they’re saying sometimes. You can’t make a game 100% understandable or enjoyable when the books, comics, series contain a lot of info about the characters (that only “true” fans will read, watch.) And actually this a problem. In my opinion this is kinda like 343 want to force the newcomers to get more info, but why don’t they lead them to do so?

Osiris didn’t act all emotional towards each other because they were a new team whereas noble had already been together for awhile. Besides if you paid attention in the campaign Osiris did become close.

I actually had forgotten Buck was in Halo 3: ODST, I’ve been wanting to play it again and this just makes me want to more!
I have to agree though. There is so much you’re missing out on if you only play the games. Mind you, if that’s all you want to do that’s fine but there is SO much you’re missing out on by ignoring all the other Halo media.
The Halo books and comics are fantastic and well worth the read! If you want more on Osiris I’d defiantly start there! As for Blue Team, all you have to do is read “The Fall of Reach” and “First Strike”. Both are by Eric Nylund, and both are amazing reads. If you like the games you’ll love them!

Beyond blue team popping out of seeming nowhere, there isn’t really anything in h5 that requires books.
