because, ive entered the code, and all i have in mm is the anniversary playlists.
is this supposed to be like this, or do i need halo reach game?
When you enter the code you get the Anniversary maps for Reach. So yes, you need to use Reach.
Ask Killa KC and any other people in charge of MLG gametypes to incorporate some of the Anniversary maps (Battle Canyon and Penance might work). You will need the Halo Reach disc though.
