Being added to the program won’t give you access to Halo 5. You had to have been part of the preview program and been accepted before yesterday. If you get an invite now, it could still be a few days before your membership is approved.

There is a thread in the MCC forums you can post in to ask for an invite

Back in December there was an early release of the Halo 5 Beta that ran for a weekend. It was only available to Xbox Live Preview Program members. A lot of people tried to sign up, but the approval process takes time. The beta is over now so there is no other way to play Halo 5 other than events that 343 hosts. The preview program is still open thogh and gives you esrly access to system updates so you can help test out new features.
