Can we have the mac gun playable in halo infinite somehow in campaign or even in some multiplayer gamemodes? That’ll be cool cause it’s like one of the most powerful weapons in the halo universe and I personally think it shouldn’t just be left as a “halo lore” thing.

For MP it would pretty much have to be a game ender, yea. Campaign has more wiggle room though.

totally, but i imagine UNSC fighting covenant off a ship to activate the MAC cannon there to eliminate a cruiser

but no I think this is something they absolutely could add into the campaign. It’s been done in Reach so I don’t see why not.

Yeah, regarding the game itself being titled as “halo”, it should be a no brainer for us to be able to use that said weapon

No, more like huge space fleet battles with mac guns for the multiplayer part. Quite ambitious, but definitely worth a try! Also, I can see them implementing that in campaign mode.

What like a “kill streak” reward? Like get 25kills and call in an orbital strike? Kinda like the target designator from Reach?
As cool as this would be to see, I think kill streaks/score streaks would be way too reminiscent of COD franchises, and we’ve all heard the screaming about COD stuff in Halo…loadouts in Halo 4 sound familiar?
It’d be cool if either a MAC strike, or a glassing beam, depending on if your Spartan vs Elites, worked like the nuke in CoD. And I’m just saying it’d be cool. Not sure if that’s realistic for Halo though.
Also yeah I’d love for them to add that giant railgun from the end of Halo: Reach as a forge item. I think it’s the same asset as the massive turret on top of the Mammoth in H4. I guess that was technically considered a MAC in-game but it seemed way too small. Maybe a mini-MAC cannon.
It would be interesting to have, if it’s for general multiplayer it would have to have a counter or a crippling flaw for balancing which 343 missed with Halo Reach’s expanded sandbox with the sabres/seraphs making them op by not letting the added AA turret operationable making sabres very scarce to use. I would think something like OG battlefront 2 fleet combat or conquest could work, on the ground fend off phantoms trying to land troops while drop pods would make it through to counter you or the fleet battle by having it shoot down boarding craft.
It would be cool but remember - MAC rounds?? In atmosphere??

I mean, we’ve seen halo lore animations bout engagements of unsc ships against the covenant fleet, would be really really nice for em to implement that to multiplayer and campaign
