Title says it all. Competitive is dead and has been for a very long while. Invasion is one of the best gamemodes Halo ever had and is currently unplayable outside of customs due to a lack of players. Just add invasion as a gamemode to search for in social even if you have to make it 8v8 (Never really knew why it wasn’t 8v8 in the first place really) for it to actually appear in big team searches.

I’ve always felt the same, and then more casual maps can be considered like Ridgeline or Breakneck. Maybe it could even be added to the 12 player matchmaking option that currently only houses Infection, though I don’t think it particularly matters too much which game size it’s allocated to.
Maybe it could be added to more games too, like Halo 3 or 2: Anniversary.

To my understanding its near impossible to add to the games preceding Reach, but not impossible with the games following Reach for the same reasons as why escalation slayer was only added to Reach, 4, and 2A.
Still, Invasion should be added to Halo 4 and H2A no questions asked.

I’ve felt this for quite a while even when it was still possible to find matches in the playlist, eventually you get to a point where your skill rank makes it impossible to find games, Invasion should have been a rotating comp playlist and a permanent social playlist but unfortunately I don’t think it will ever be added to social playlists

I agree. Invasion was something else back in the day. It needs to come back
It’s permanent because the skunked achievement needs to remain obtainable. Although it would make more sense to move it to social.

I’ve always thought invasion would’ve had a better lifespan in social than comp, especially since overall it’s not balanced enough for comp in any way, especially with certain maps like breakneck and one more I can’t remember the name of that had the shipyard, now it’s just a dead game mode that gets exploited in ranked with how broken or unbalanced some maps are
