343 should add the HCS armor variants to the req pool. I’ve been trying to get a 100% on the armor customization and it’s really disappointing that they don’t have the option to get the Champion armor set and the Challenger armor set. I know there were packs for these specific armors but those packs are long gone and they’re most likely not going to return at all. The Challenger’s pack doesn’t even work anymore when you download it. So please 343, add the HCS armor sets to the req pool.
I’m afraid HCS-branded armor will not be added into the standard REQ pool. Those are exclusive sets that can only be acquired with actual currency. Besides, treating them like normal REQs would be the Helioskrill / Nightfall uproar all over again. That’s like giving those who got Athlon Champion and Challenger in the first place a huge slap across their face.
As much as I also want to fill up the gaps in my collection, it’s not going to happen.

i actually got athlon champion from the classic helmet pack after buying it with RP a second time
While I do not have most of the HCS stuff, I disagree. I’d prefer that they stay exclusive to those packs.

It’d be nice to at least be able to purchase the HWC pack. Missed it because I hadn’t been keeping up with Waypoint. I mainly just want the emblem.

This pretty much… HCS London is this weekend and there is another HCS next month. They may come up again. But exclusives need to remain exclusive IMO.

Well the Athlon Champion armor with weapon skins, and emblem did not need a “keeping up with Waypoint” necessarily. It was lists in game in the Req store. Either earn 80,000 Rp of pay $10. So still…no, just no. There is quite a lot of armor available for those who don’t want to grind and save up, or pay attention to HCS in general. That’s the theme of the armor, HCS.

Nah, I got that one. The one I was talking about was the one with the Challenger set that people got for free. It was back in the middle of March. I don’t really keep up with pro gaming or w/e, and I wasn’t checking Waypoint at the time (they had posted about it a couple of days before the event). Saw a thread about it a few days too late.

Hard earned money and time, for those of us who grinded 80,000 RP. And the whole thing of, “I don’t pay attention to Waypoint!”, okay then, you don’t get the armor. The Challenger armor was free, no RP no money, just those of us who play and pay attention. Why do either if everyone gets a crack at it?
No one really knows if they will release challenger armor again considering it was available for a limited time. They might release a reskinned armor already in the game for the next HCS, but you just don’t know. I have challenger and I like it because I have a special armor set that not everyone has, sorta like having recon before they introduced the vidmaster method.
I tried to get the challenger ones. But was so clogged and lagged out.
And I bought the hcs when they came out. And not really happy they been able to abtain here and there. Was a limited time only… when i bought it.
No thanks! Adding them to the req pool takes away what makes them special in the first place. We don’t need the HCS armors to become Helioscrill V2. Adding them to the req pool is the last thing we need.

So now it’s because you lagged out when opening the pack. Why is there no mention of this in you OP?
I have lagged out when opening packs and my items were still there when I started the game. I say again do NOT offer it in the general pool.
