My favorite version of the Magnum- aside from the Halo: CE Magnum- was the Halo: Reach version. High fire rate, decent accuracy and range when firing slow, but it could potentially save your but in close combat if you hammered the trigger at point-blank range. I also think the look and sound of it was the coolest of all the Halo games.
So why not bring it back? It would be the same REQ level as the Halo 2 Battle Rifle (Level 4), have a classic sight with full-screen zoom, higher fire rate, but with a smaller magazine (8 bullets instead of 12) and increased recoil, so it would be just like it was in Reach. Here’s what the description would look like in-game:
Halo: Reach Magnum (Mythic Legendary REQ/Level 4)
-M6G Magnum outfitted with classic sight and full-screen zoom. Weapon has reduced magazine capacity and increased recoil, but higher rate-of-fire.
I’m all for some more magnum variants, even if I have to admit I can’t remember differences between one game and the next. Other than H3 where the thing was unusable for every situation ever pretty much. I mainly want a silenced magnum

They could toss in the Halo 3: ODST Auto-Mag while they’re at. Although that weapon wasn’t that great… it couldn’t penetrate Brute’s shields with one magazine, even on Easy difficulty. Looked and sounded cool, though.
I’m all for new content but wouldn’t the Reach magnum be outclassed by the 5 and CE magnum in almost every encounter.

This is like asking for the Halo 3 or Reach AR, why ask for something inferior? And no, nostalgia is not the answer.
The CE pistol and H2 BR made sense because those weapons are vastly different when compared to the current versions present in Halo 5. Adding any other loadout weapon from previous games doesn’t make sense at all.
The only other magnum I think that we should get at this point is the halo 3 odst magnum because of the silencer

Those are all good ideas, I really like when they bring back past weapons.

I would love to see the Silenced Mangum and Suppressor from ODST be added to at least Forge, those weapons give off a cool special ops like feeling.

The Halo: Reach Magnum is just as good as the Halo 5 Magnum at longer ranges if you pace your shots, but is better in close quarters because of the higher fire rate.

Not bad. I would rather have variants before the halo reach magnum. In particular a silenced version.

I would assume he means a load out varient.

That’s a completely different gun. Whispered Truth is a modified version of the Halo 5 Magnum, the M6H. Buck’s pistol in Halo 3: ODST was the M6C/S, a modified version of the M6C pistol from Halo 2.
Could work but it’s nothing special, just your standard issue weapon
