I know a lot of balance changes are currently needed for this game. This idea is just a thought on something that could improve the game (for me) and I would like to have the community feedback in this:
We know AoE damage leader powers can wreck full pop army and it can be unfair in some situations (happening on your army when you are training units at base for exemple). What do you guys think if we add friendly fire on those leader powers?
Logically it makes a lot of sense, a bomb launched from the sky and falling on a battlefield will not chose to kill only your enemies…
Gameplay wise it adds a lot more strategy and micro management when using leader powers. You have to place your units in specific positions before dropping hell on everything. It will not allow players to dive into battle and spam leader powers without any consequences other than annihilating everything but yourself.
I hear a lot of player complaning that AoE leader powers are OP in their current state, this change would diminish their effectiveness and tone them down a bit.
Personally I hated this in the original. Too many PoR players that just troll and team kill.
I didnt know it was in the original, never played it. Team kill happened even in ranked match ?
That would be a buff to close air support.

Yeah. A very rare occurrence, but it happened sometimes.

And in turn a nerf to Eradication, which is already overpriced.

I agree. Eradication is overpriced. It shouldn’t cost any resources
Close air support can be tweaked of course , but at least it can actually be dodged since it is not an instant damage like eradication, mac blast or archer missile. Also the pelicans can be shut down

I honestly thought close air support was underpowered it is really easy to just move away

I don’t think Leader Powers are over powered, or unfair. I do agree with friendly fire on them though. It makes sense
This would great because right now it impossible to not lose an army from a single leader power. You would have to actually think before you spam that eradication beam. As for the close air support the pelicans can be shot down and it quite easy to get out of

I love that Feature - people have to use their brain again
