Sorry 343 but your BTB maps aren’t THAT great. The community can make better maps because know what we want in a BTB map. Even if your maps were good there is not nearly enough of them and you know damn well its easy to add community maps into the servers. This isn’t rocket science give the BTB players what we want

Not nearly enough maps to fill the low number of playlists. at least give us more variety. even the maps in h2a looked way better, i wish they would’ve just gave us a few decent maps that aren’t forge. since they are forge, why not add lots of maps to the mix? people love remixes from old halos, no one would turn down new maps (even though many would complain they are terrible). id rather have more maps and more game types, why won’t they give us that.
Along with the monthly updates i think there should be a playlist change or addition (even if its temporary) every 2 weeks. The playlists haven’t changed in a while and it just needs some mixing up

Yea definitely need more BTB maps. Even if older ones. Hopefully they do a Community BTB next.
Maybe test them with a weekend playlist to work out the kinks, then add them to the main BTB playlist.

This may be true, but I would like to see a source for this. I know way more people that play breakout over BTB. BTB is unranked and typically not as challenging for me. It’s too easy to single out the weak links on the other team.
Im surprised 343 put in community maps for breakout playlist and nothing for BTB which seems to be more popular than breakout.
Its quite clear to me that 343 doesnt give a -Yoink- about BTB and decide to let out poorly designed BTB maps. So having community BTB maps temporarily like breakout is a great idea.
But we need pure original maps for BTB no matter what, they cannot let it slide.
I think BTB community maps is like the golden opportunity to show how well a community can make maps worthy of competitive play. Capture the flag and strong holds can get pretty intense at times and it becomes a team effort to get the W. For me that’s what halo is about, having the big battles over an objective on a large map with vehicular combat and strategic methods of infiltrating and obtaining or capturing them. They gave us to the tools, we are capable of making awesome maps. I’m making one right now, its gonna take some time but its gonna be a map unlike anything 343 has made.
Yes please! There are several community made maps that would be great for BTB
I totally agree, we need new maps for BTB, or i should say good map.
- Antifreeze is the perfect example of a nonsense map, we only have two ghost on the map, is thas btb? no!
- Entombed is inspired from tumulus but is two times smaller, with no place for using the wraith…
- On Recurve, every battle is on top mid… Basin is actually the only good BTB maps witch is not a remake.
Since the forge is on H5, so many community maps have been made, plus, so many remake, and i don’t understand why there is not more of them in the playlist.
I think of: Sandtrap, Valhala, Bloodglutch, Zanzibar, that already get good remake on H5 forge
I also think about the three larges maps that 343 redesign for H2a, (Remnant, Stonetown and Bloodline) they have not been played enough on the MCC for the time (I think) it took to build them. This is the kind of map we want to see, lot of vehicles, large open space, some smalls way to pass around, and big bases on multiples levels.
I have the impression to suffocate when I play BTB, like a claustrophobic cat entombed alive in a too smalls coffin, I need space, we need space, and vehicles (mainly in a social playlist)… 343, I wait some old school BTB gameplay (and I know a lot of friend who do too), I know you may have some work with other stuff, but this is a major point.
Put in the classic mAp remakes. Give us blood gulch!

Agreed they need to put in actually good remakes and not just inspired by maps and make some original maps without forge assets so it doesn’t look janky all the time.
I would like this. There are not a lot of maps made for btb and I tend to get the same map over and over (deadlock). I don’t really care for antifreeze or recurve, but there has been a terminal and sand trap remake that I would kill to have in the matchmaking rotation. Breakout has recently gotten a community breakout matchmaking option, with maps from community forgers, so why not community btb?
Loving the Community Breakout maps (except Overpass) - 343’s were too narrow and prescribed, and felt bland. Antifreeze, Recurve and Deadlock seem designed specifically for strongholds, Basin for CTF, and Entombed & Guillotine for slayer; Basin aside, I feel they lack versitility and any other gametype on them just feels out-of-place to me. Trust in the Community!

Ranks is a good idea and a bad one for way they have it set up now. I dont think, i know if there was a ranked playlist and social playlist like it was in halo 3 Arena would be much better. Sometimes i want to play big team competitively and sometimes i just need to pass the time. But i when i want to play for real and my team mates aren’t really playing it can get really frustrating because its not ranked. Warzone has in my opinion ruined matchmaking for halo 5. They focused too much on making warzone acceptable and just did arena on the side. In the end arena is missing standard features and Warzone ends up like it was always going to… a joke
Still no new maps on btb after the hammerstorm update? Seriously, you did it in breakout last month, just do the same for btb!!!
