Hello everyone,
Today i propose something that can possibly be one of the best things that can happen to all classic halo games since their servers have been shut down, add them to steam. Adding these games can allow Valve to run servers on the games so that people can still play Halo CE and Halo 2 on pc as much as they want, there is already 17,000 people wanting Halo CE on steam so that they can keep playing online (proof: Petition · Adopt Halo: Combat Evolved & Custom Edition Multiplayer · Change.org).
Thanks,
Unversed
Maybe sometime after Halo 6 is released because I believe all focused is on MCC and Halo 6 at the moment.
@UnversedSamuri, there are two threads rolling on in these parts of the Waypoint regarding similar issues, you may want to check out HERE and HERE [CTRL+click to open in separate tabs].

How should that be treated, like an evasive “maybe”, like a will towards considering the case or is it soon going to be replaced with the usual conservative “XBOX exclusive” slogan?
How many threads do we need on this topic? Especially when you can play CE, H2 and H3 on PC right now.

Halo3 on the PC? Thought the case was only with CE and Halo2, both going at farfetched prices on secondhand market, at least in my area. I feel Microsoft will one day agree with the reality around them and humbly give the PC players these classic Halo titles, expectedly technically improved for better gameplay experience, unecrtain though whether fully remastered, but I decided to wait, entering the let-go mode for the meantime. I just do not feel Halo is that crucial for me, as if it was, it would be available, right?

Have you ever heard of Halo Online?
Halo Online, heard it was some unofficial or semiofficial project valid only in Russia for some inexplicable reason, but that is all I know. Is this Halo3 based? Is it something like Halo2 Project Cartographer? Besides, I am little interested in arena style shooters, as well as being less into multiplayer overall and more into quality singleplayer.

Sorry but i cant stand your use of bold to highlight keywords.
Jokes aside, i think its a waste right now because whats the point if 343 are trying to fix mcc and gain a population? Why would they deliberately release the games knowing it would affect mcc and be a waste of time then? I think they should rerelease these games long after halo 6 when mcc is a ghost town, and before h3a (if that ever happens).

Sorry, kind of lost the track, I see what the point is, it is the logistics of releasing the games, so as to avoid distracting the audience putting multiple objects in front of people and thus splitting the playerbase for each of the released titles respectively, instead of accumulating players in one hopefully optimum game. But again, you talk about Halo PC series distracting away the XBOX exclusive crowd? See, there is a difference. Microsoft should best allow XBOX and PC players play together, also people from other platforms and systems included, that is the best way to get the raving mass they need, even if at the cost of compromising the competetiveness or sophistication of the multiplayer itself. Who needs over the top multiplayer that nobody plays, we should ask in the first place. If people play it, it will evolve perhaps, eventually. But minding the situation that we have, with playerbase split, PC series and XBOX series unnecessarily have to affect one another. In fact, XBOX audience could still be willing to turn to PC playing some titles if they are well done or well recovered, even for an enhanced FOV, so this way or the other the sales will be acceptable I believe. Halo6 is unlikely to be severely affected by some old retakes brought to PC, because first, it is simply a modern game instead of a facelifted up one, second, there is big fandom waiting specifically for it, while the PC players could enjoy catching up with the franchise in the meantime, being prepared to receive further Halo installments in the future.
