Some people are complaining about how overpower the Boltshot is for a loadout weapon, and so came up with an idea that might fix it.
The solution? Risk of suicide.
Add a mechanic that causes the Boltshot to overload if you hold down the trigger for too long, and reduce the ammount of time it can be charged before it discharges. What would happen is, if you hold down the trigger for too long, the gun explodes in your hands and takes out your shield; killing you outright if your shield are weak or downed, and causing your body to disintigrate. Thus, camping with the Boltshot would now carry a 50% chance of commiting suicide.
If nothing else, it would be almost as funny as somebody commiting suicide with the Sniper Rifle. Having somebody run up to you with a Boltshot, thinking they’re going to one-shot you, and having it blow up in their face…
