So yes I know battle royale is a super saturated game mode now a days but just bear with this idea that I’ve had for awhile now.
Picture this, a halo ring, not as massive as the other rings that we have seen but still quite large. Everyone starts on a UNSC cruiser and is flys through the center, once it hits the center everyone can start deploying. Everyone is in there own ODST style pod and you can freely change trajectory while In flight. Once you land. You have to scavenge for weapons and maybe over shield pieces? Could maybe even add a currency that you can spend at a store that you always have access to but can only use it when not being attacked and placing “orders” are a channeled thing. We could call in weapons to even vehicles to help traverse the ring.
now the next part is to act as is “gas” was closing. Instead the ring will self destruct in segments causing everyone to work there way around the ring until one last segment. Once on the last segment. It can either keep exploding slowly or could make it to where everyone can see the general area of another player to hunt them down. Last one (or team) standing wins.
A lot of it is your generic BR mode but I think the Halo twist on it and the awesomeness of orbital dropping onto a halo ring sounds absolutely amazing.
please comment what you think and if enough people like this idea maybe it can be an actual thing in halo infinite.

I have not been convinced that the BR works unless they are ODSTs. Flood closing the ring and taking over past ODSTs who died on the battle field would be sick. This will probably happen eventually. Maybe they announced it at 2022 or 2023 E3?

Okay, so why want one in Halo?
Anyways, no thank you. 343 already said they’ve got the BR that they want. You know what that is. Halo doesn’t need this as badly as a small amount of people want it or think it needs it. (it doesn’t.)
Not trying to be mean about it, but this is like the 3rd post I’ve seen with BR ideas/asking for BR when 343 already made their stance on the game mode. If anything, try your luck to make your own in Forge, as that’s about as close as you’ll get.

Because having more options are never really a bad thing if the rest of the game is good. Some people like the mode and there is nothing wrong with that.

Halo has ways to do BR, but I am not convinced general multiplayer is even finished. Hopefully they make an awesome experience if they do and actually let it cook instead of hurrying out a half–Yoink- mode.

I agree. I think 343 said that if the community wants a BR they should be able to make it in Forge.

That will depend on how good Forge is. It is possible that Forge will change the industry again, and hopefully so.

You can forge your own BR in any forge map you want. Setup a slayer gametype with score to win, maybe have an objective spawner and have soft kill barriers spawn to puch players towards eachother. It would not be hard, Halo has always been a fight for your life game, and free for all has that element in matchmaking, the name battle royale is generic, and overused / oversimplified just because everybody has heard of pubg and fortnite.
Battle royal will be easy to make in forge im sure with moving kill boundary ect i looked at this on halo 5 and looked possible. Imagine infinite forge will be fun to try. But my opinion is BTB works well for halo im very happy they have started off with the game modes we know and love plus more to come we cant complain surely. I would personally next like to see even bigger maps and even more spartans in the fight. A big warzone to come yes please

They already confirmed the only BR they have an interest in right now is the battle rifle.
That could change but I dont see it being a launch feature at all and I dont wanna flight test a BR of all things

I’ll never understand people being so defensive over a gamemode. This is a game where they’re gonna give it to you half-finished and finish it later whilst nickel and diming you for every piece of cosmetic they can. DEMAND MORE CONTENT. Demand for a proper amount of content at launch. Demand for fair and appropriately priced MTX.
YOU may not want a BR mode but you have no clue how many people want one. So don’t act like it’s a small amount. Also don’t sit there and try and tell me that Halo having a BR wouldn’t be cool and really gain interest in the franchise again. Sure Halo can stick to what it does but there’s no harm in a game mode.
> 2533274830294676;17:
> As if this idea hasn’t already been suggested a million times already.
> Halo needs to set trends not follow them.
Halo can’t set trends by doing what it’s done for 20 years. A BR isn’t the same as adding sprint which changes the entire game. A BR is the same as adding Warzone or an equivalent mode. It would be cool. Don’t be lame.
If it has a Battle Royale mode, a lot of players will expect that to be the focus of the game in general. Thats obviously not the direction they are going, so throwing in a BR mode this late in development is only going to hurt and distract from the direction of the game’s development. As has been stated above and by devs, it will be possible to make one in Forge to scratch that itch. And honestly I am very on board with this. I have never found a Battle Royale I have enjoyed playing. As you said, the market doesn’t need another one. And Halo doesn’t either.
