Currently, if you disconnect from a certain number of matches for whatever reason (game crashes, lost connection to match, quit out yourself) the game bans you from playing for a certain amount of time as a penalty.
For matches where exiting out was not the users fault, adding a “reconnect to match” button or something along those lines would help alot. You could have a grace period of a minute or 2 to rejoin the match before the game marks it as a “left match” that contributes to your “user ban” counter.
On that same note, the ban penalty for leaving matches in quickplay looks like its the same as ranked. This doesn’t make sense. Obviously you don’t want people leaving during matches in quickplay either, but the penalty for it (the number of quit matches needed to result in a user ban and the time you are banned for) should be less than the penalty for leaving ranked matches.

Yeah, rejoining like Overwatch has in Competitive matches would be great.
I Agree, we should be able to rejoin matches, i can start the game up fast on my pc but the game has been crashing a lot as of late, mind you my computer is fine and plays other games without problem.
100% this, I just lost two ranked matches in a row because a teammate’s game crashed.
Leaving and getting penalised in quick play as harshly as ranked doesn’t make sense either considering how many times I’ve been placed in existing games.
I agree with this. Being able to rejoin is a must, especially in ranked.
Anyone who quits from my team gets a report filed against their xbox gamercard, but if they rejoined the match I would know it was unintentional (from a crash or something like that).
Yeah, I’ve crashed out of two matches today and not been able to reconnect. This is a standard feature in modern competitive games and should be added. (While you’re at it, make the startup splash screens skippable so you can get back in faster.)
In splitgate this is exactly what happens, if you disconnect or if the game crashes the game asks you if you want to rejoin the match. This would be a good feature to add.
Players should be able to rejoin a dropped match. Also, to limit quitting, they should not be allowed to start another match until the last one finishes.
