Too many players play with an open mic and I quickly want to mute them in less than 5 seconds. Best way to do it is to let players highlight teammates names in the scoreboard(tab/back) and select them. Then a little menu should pop up asking you to add, report, mute, etc. I’m mostly concern about the muting part.

That would be appreciated, it feels like a lot of QoL features are either absent or behind multiple menus

343 acknowledged the problem but has to figure how to fix this… probably take them 1 season. Why they didn’t implement it like in the games before, noone knows.
I just use I think Start → Back → Y
That mutes everyone. You might be able to select individuals from that list, but I haven’t tried.
This is an option already but you need to pause the game first, then bring up the scoreboard to do it - backwards, I know.
would be fantastic and convienient… but 343 doesn’t know the latter word, and their UI most likely can’t support such a basic feature

Prior to launch they were only focused on getting the game out the door with enough content to fill out HCS tournaments. Notice 4v4 was the only thing not detrimentally affected…and.hpwnthere was only the basic stuff Slayer, odd ball capture the flag and stronghold. These were enough to have HCS tournament content.
People haven’t seemed to have picked up on the trend yet. At 343 HCS and cash are king.
So to us it makes no sense why it’s missing, why they wouldn’t address this problem before launch.
But to 343 it makes sense because it wasn’t something that would affect HCS tournaments.
So you have to get into that mindset with 343 and Halo games. HCS is there center stage show pony, everything about this game centers around that. The other stuff is just amenities to the general gameing community.
We are like the crowdfunding for 343 and their HCS crowd.
Unrelated, but another improvement I’d suggest for the game as well:
I wish they removed the pop up in windows mode for Halo when pressing ALT + Space on accident. Those are my jump and crouch keys for sliding in other games like Apex and would be difficult to relearn just to avoid loss of control over the window.
Good feature to add regardless how rare it is to find someone using a mic online.
