I can’t understand how Halo 4 lacked it for a long time and now Halo MCC it and now lacks even more. If Halo 5 can’t at least create an environment for forgers and custom game players to prosper then I can’t see this game being as fun as past Halo’s. Halo 3 and Reach had a lot of custom game maps and modes, and I don’t understand why you never caught on to the fact custom significantly improves replay value. Looking back at my custom stats in Halo 3, I played about 3/4 as much customs as I played regular MM and I only played that much on MM because I had a bad obsession with being rank 50 in Lone Wolves and Team Slayer and Team Doubles.
343i, ranks and customs are the life of Halo. You are forgetting about half of that based on your past projects. Halo 4 had minimal features at launch and for around a year didn’t really improve. Halo 4 did end up getting this which is great but now MCC has almost nothing. It barely supports a file share system which is extremely half-baked, then there is no way to search for community creations because there is no searching option, and you can’t even easily access friends or past players file shares.
If you go to YouTube you could find tens of thousands of custom map montages and walkthroughs for Halo 3 and Halo 4 (probably not as much for Halo 4). Halo 5 needs a great customs and forging community support AT LAUNCH. You guys should even add your own “top forged maps and game types of the week” or something in the in-game menu. Halo 3 supported something similar so I can’t see why you guys can’t. The Xbox One is a great console and you guys should be taking advantage of all it has to offer, not just resolution and graphics but in great integration of your Halo Channel with your Halo games.
I hope you, 343i, will read and get this. To the community, please support this because everyone benefits in having Halo 5 implement these features.
