The DMR needs a nerf. Adapting isnt possible when a battle between a BR and a DMR on Haven comes out with the DMR winning. I love when people try to defend the gun by stating its “supposed to be a long range weapon, adapt noob.” Yeah, okay, and the BR is supposed to better at close to medium range, according to that logic, correct? False. Because of a higher fire rate, a player using the DMR can easily win a battle against a BR at ANY range because the spread of the thing is basically non-existent. You cannot make valid claims by stating what the gun is SUPPOSED to be used for, because it is obviously not used for its intended purpose. Auto-aim assist and bullet magnetism on the DMR are insane, and honestly it wrecks any player using the BR, Carbine, or Light Rifle. The kick you receive when being shot by the DMR vs. the kick you receive while being shot while using the DMR is just a ridiculous ratio of complete crap. Stop arguing that your tactics of being a camping noob like you were in Reach are justified because its a “long range weapon.” You use it on every map, every situation, short or far range and it cleans house where it shouldn’t. FIX IT NOW 343. I, my friends, and many others are very frustrated that we cant play the game and win by being a more skillful player, losing to a playing style that shouldnt even be included in this game in the first place. The DMR belongs in Reach, and it should have stayed there. Adaptation is impossible, and you all know that. Stop using that word and coming up with excuses that clearly arent valid if youve actually payed attention and seen the unconditional destruction laid down by what shouldnt be winning BR battles…oh, wait, those dont even exist in Halo 4. Shame…
When cavemen were faced with starvation and had no warmth for cold nights, what did they do? THEY ADAPTED
When Chief realized that he needed a bigger weapon to take out the Didact, what did he do? HE ADAPTED
When people like you won’t quit crying about the DMR and learn to use the carbine (very effective,) what do you need to do?
ADAPT
It is indeed possible.

THIS. seriously. quit the whine-fest.
Lmao. just like i said, an overused mannerism. You love to say it, and guess what? I have tried to “adapt” as you love to say, but i shouldnt have to give in and use a gun that i think is OP to “adapt.” It is not possible to adapt when people sit in spawn all game with a dmr, cross mapping you like -Yoinking!- noobs. -Yoink- you and your love for the word, you’re bad.

I’m sorry but I don’t see how adapting to something in a video game that is clearly unbalanced will make things better. And enough with these evolution examples, this is a game not real life. Why should the OP just adapt to a broken mechanic when he could say something and something could be done about it?
well, adapt.
Well there is truth to the word.
BR does great against DMR on Haven, Adrift, Complex close quarters, etc. That is how it was designed.
So, adapt if you are trying to fight DMRers from afar. Either get more mid-range in order to unscope them (Which BR has an advantage of) or get even closer and use that quicker fire that it has.
So… Adapt.
see I have the total opposite problem, I love using the DMR but get pwnd by BR’s. Now admittedly I suck at MP but I tool -Yoink- with the BR
