I usually play on xbox as my PC isn’t super great at running MCC, it runs just not at super great resolutions. I recently re-installed it on my PC as I want to try a couple mods, but my issue right now is anytime I try to open anything on MCC I keep getting “active user signed out returning to menu”.
I know I don’t have the game running on my xbox so it’s not that, but as of right now I can’t even load a campaign mission to tweak my settings. I’m also on steam if that helps.
EDIT: I finally gave up for the moment to try and fix it on my PC so I went to go on my xbox and now I’m geting the same thing on my xbox. I’m going to submit a support ticket at this point but if anyone has a workaround it would still be appreciated.
For PC do you own it through Steam or through the Microsoft Store (the same version you get from from Gamepass)?
Since you’re posting on these forums it seems you can sign into the account like normal outside of the game. That’s good.
I own it on Steam. I even have a second account I tried on my xbox to see if maybe it was just the servers but that account runs fine while my main one can’t for some reason stay connected.
My xbox profile as a whole stays signed in just not on the game.

Update: I’ve done basically everything I could find and/or think of to try and get this issue resolved but nothing has worked 3 -4 days in. I’ve changed my MS account password to try and sign the account out then in again, removing my account off the Xbox and signing back on, uninstalling and re-installing the game, and I tried my second account on both Xbox and the PC and that account is not having this issue.
I submitted a ticket on the support site and all I was given was the generalized response “At this time, we don’t have a workaround and can’t predict when there might be a resolution, but your issue has been logged with our developers. They will use the information you provided during their investigation”. After doing some digging I’ve found posts as early as 2019 of people having this issue, so this issue has been around for 3 years (essentially as long as MCC has been on PC). The only solution that I’ve seen some people post is that I may have to wait for around 3-4 months before the game fixes itself if it even does.
Again if anyone has a workaround that they may be able to share I would really appreciate it as I don’t want to lose access to the account as I have most of the items unlocked other than a couple ranked skins.
I should also state it’s just MCC that has this issue, I can still access other games with my account just not MCC.

Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager
Scroll down and look for the file called: Xbl|DeviceKey
Delete it.

FYI forge maps and gametypes are saved here so back this up if you’re going to delete it or uninstall.
