Hey folks, I’m hitting a snag. I’ve always been able to play mcc but lately I’ve been getting the error “active profile signed out” and get booted to the main menu. I’ve tried everything you can imagine and even did a factory reset for my Xbox one.
Any ideas? I can see this was patched back in like… 2015 but. Yeah. Here I am.

I figure it was a server issue, let’s be honest… They’re being slammed.
Just odd, not a server issue in the way I’ve ever seen in the 10-15 years of my online gaming experience. But! Seems to be that none the less.
I have also been hit with “Active Profile sign out” and ultimately led to a short term ban. I’ve hard reset, closed the app, turned off my computer, deleted and reassigned my profile and STILL! Have this message. I really, really don’t want to uninstall and reinstall this massive game.
I am also having the same problem on console. Hard resets, reinstallation net reset. Even redownloaded my profile. Still no fix and no explanation on how to fix anywhere. Anyone have info on how to fix?
Same issue here. I have two consoles, however, and I am only hitting the issue on one. Very strange. No issues on my X, but my OG one is having the issue

this is trash i have the same problem and no updates really on how to fix this i have logged out of everything re logged in reset the windows store have reinstalled the game MANY TIMES im at 10 times now from launch and it sucks because im on a slow high speed internet and it takes all day for 25 gigs and every time theirs a windows update of game update this happens.
Did anyone find a solution i am just now having the issue and I have tried doing everything I can think of.

I as well am having the problem starting yesterday. I’ve tried to reinstall the game but it still shows up with it I’m about to ditch game pass and switch back to just gold, really disappointed.
What blows my mind even more is this is the only way to reach out to support, and not a single staff member has responded. What a -Yoink!-. How do you not respond to support forums. This whole section is wasted data, because you guys don’t even acknowledge it!
Please 343, all I want to do is play this game, I’ve uninstalled the game, I deleted and reinstalled my Xbox profile but nothing works
EDIT: Yesterday the MCC stopped doing this, don’t know what I did, maybe a patch from 343 (doubt it)
While I do not have this issue, it’s sad that I am reading issues after issues after issues from multiple people lately, it’s getting ridiculous now. I love the MCC and I wish for it work properly for everyone. I’d be very sad if I couldn’t play it at all.
Mine just started doing this about a week ago, have no idea why but I’m about to uninstall the game indefinitely until someone can explain how to fix this. I’ve tried everything that’s been recommended and nothing has worked. Ridiculous.
Everyone, I FINALLY FOUND A FIX for that horrible “Active user signed out; Returning to main menu” glitch (For PC users at least…)
What you have to do is clear out MCC’s local “Cache” of XBL profiles stored on your computer. (Something that ISN’T deleted on a fresh install of the game for some reason).
Here’s how to do it:
1. First, start-up MCC and SIGN OUT of your active XBL profile from the main menu by pressing “R”, clicking on your nameplate, and choosing the “Change profile” option. After signing out, return to your desktop and open up your file explorer.
2. Now, navigate to your local MCC’s AppData webcache folder, which can be found at “C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\Saved\webcache”.
[IMPORTANT: “Appdata” and “LocalLow” seem to be “hidden” files. So make sure you click “View” and then “Show hidden items” to be able to see them and perform this fix]
3. Delete ALL the files within your “webcache” folder (And then clear them from your recycle bin). These “webcache” files are “Stuck” in that loop, so forcing the game to re-make these files seems to fix the problem.
4. Re-launch MCC (No need to verify or re-install)
5. Sign back into whatever profile you were using.
6. Jump back into social/ranked multiplayer cues and get some kills because your game should be working again!
SHAME on 343i for allowing this issue to exist on both platforms for 5+ years with NO SUPPORT WHATSOEVER. There’s literally no point in having a “Support forum” and “Support ticket submissions” if ya’ll at 343i never look at them or even attempt to troubleshoot these issues with your users.
Seriously. My friend has had a singular ticket about this issue open for over 2 weeks with literally no reply or even acknowledgment that the ticket was received.
So I’ve done the above and it didn’t work for me prior to seeing this post; however I did download the beta xbox app, and now i do not have any issues!
Having the issue now on my Xbox. I switched profiles while it was searching for a game. I guess that means I can’t play anymore? How do I find technical support?
