Active Profile Signed Out Issue

Hello Spartans!

I’ve been becoming more active on Halo after a long time recently (and I’m really enjoying the Season rewards), though I am experiencing some technical difficulties on my Xbox One. Just the other day, when the whole “Leaving Matchmaking” issue started, I began seeing another message that stated “Active Profile Signed Out”. It’ll appear whenever I was about to start Matchmaking, Campaign, or if I’m just idle on the Main Menu, and then it’ll kick me to the title screen. I looked up the topic and it seems that others have been experiencing the exact same issue in previous posts dating back last year abs maybe a couple years before, whether it’s on Xbox or PC.

So far I haven’t found a solution for the problem on Xbox One on my profile, however my brother’s profile seems to be unaffected. If any of you know how to resolve this issue, you will have my utmost gratitude, as well as from anyone else experiencing this issue. Thank you.

I’d suggest you submit a ticket to Halo Support as well, that way they may prioritize this since we are not alone in this issue.

About the solutions I’ve seen, signing out of the xbox app in your phone or PC may work, as well as deleting and re downloading your profile in the xbox.

I will definitely try that! I know the devices I have connected to my Xbox Live account are my Xbox, my girlfriend’s Xbox, my laptop and my phone. And I’ll send my issue to Halo Support as well. Thank you!

Thank you! I did remove my account on my girlfriend’s Xbox and my Xbox app on my phon and resigned in, though none of those worked, so I may try doing that before I come back home to my Xbox and see if that works.

Oh, that’s fair. I got the response within the same day so that was actually alright.

Still no word from Halo Support. What did they respond with when they contacted you?

As for other methods, I went on my Facebook Group’s page to ask around and one suggested I clear the local save data and the cloud will still have my most recent save. Tried that, but didn’t work. Still looking for more solutions.

This was most of their reply:

At this time, we don’t have a workaround and can’t predict when there might be a resolution, but your issue has been logged with our developers. They will use the information you provided during their investigation.

If this issue is resolved in an update, we will notify you. If not, your ticket may remain in an open state until a game update. We will check in with you whenever a game update is released to ensure that your issue is still occurring.

If our developers have a question for you or we discover a workaround, we may reach back out to you with questions or steps for you to try. If you discover a workaround yourself, please feel free to send it back to us! Then again in a forum post from months ago the user also mentioned that they said something along the lines of “this is a behaviour a few users hace been experiencing, at the moment we don’t have a workaround”, so, rather similar to the current situation.

I’ve also tried that last thing you mentioned several times and up to no avail. I’ve been thinking that if the problem is not being resolved by what used to work in fixing it, maybe this time it has a different cause behind it. I also saw a reddit post yesterday of yet another user who’s having this problem.

Yeah that is what they sent me very recently. It is a little frustrating that a solution hasn’t been found yet but hopefully one will arise soon. Someone else on Facebook gave another suggestion, so I’m gonna try that after work.

Alright, do say if anything works out for you, I’ll do the same for now.

Have you tried to see if this is an xbox issue and not a master chief collection issue? Reason I ask is you say your brothers account is unaffected. Also do you share gold with your brother or do you have gold yourself? Did your brother purchase the game and not you and does he have the xbox you’re playing on set to his home xbox?

Both my brother and I have Gold each for ourselves, and we got Halo MCC a while back so that’s a good question, but I believe I downloaded it on my account. We share the Xbox at our place, and as for my girlfriend’s Xbox she and share it whenever I’m there, though most of the time we’re watching movies. The issue is only occurring on Halo MCC and no other games.

Only other things I can think of is redownloading your profile and a hard reset but not sure if that will resolve the issue.

I am currently in talks with one Agent Kilo via Halo Support. I’m gonna give him any and all information regarding this issue, whether it’s stuff I tried or whatever.
