Some leader powers primarily designed to deal damage (e.g. Eradication) are incapable of being dropped in specific parts of maps.
For example, a Condor hovering over a drop-off (by drop-off, I mean a section of the map that ground units are incapable of walking on) is safe from some major leader powers because they cannot be dropped in that location (the crosshairs for the power glow red).
This issue is even more prominent when placing air units over a cliff boarder - another location that yields the same results as a drop-off - and are engaging with a base or enemy force.
I find this issue rather hard to explain and I will try to get some visual evidence for this in the future. There is no reason for me to pull this problem out of thin air, I have seen it and experienced it before.
The most recent encounter with this problem I have had is on the map called Sentry. As most of you know, this map has a large gap between your base and the enemies’ in 2v2. A Condor flew over this gap to our side and started putting pressure on the mini base on our side. Despite having the Condor in clear view (no obstruction from the fog of war) we were incapable of dropping our active leader powers on the Condor to deal damage because it was hovering over a section of the map that forbade the use of leader powers.
I am unsure of what action would be necessary to fix this, but I just wanted to let you all know that it exists.
