Active Camouflage disappears too soon

Am I the only one to find that active camouflage disappears too soon ? We don’t have the time to do anything with it !

And I do’nt know for MCC, but in Halo 5, when the camouflage is active, there was a progression bar to know how many time it will last. When you know you will lack of camouflage, you can adapt your strategy, whereas now I find myself reappering in the middle of the ennemy without warning and it’s very frustating !

  • Camouflage should last longer
  • Camouflage should stay like it

I can do enough with it

Its far too powerful in this game to have any type of aid implemented with it. No motion tracker blip with silent footsteps make it potentially more powerful than the over shield. I think its fine the way it is. Just time it yourself lol

It is some of the best active camo we have received in the series so far.
Though it DEFINITELY does need a depleting bar to inform us of when it is about to deactivate.

I think the problem don’t come from the time we can use the camo, but from the lack of the progression bar. The camo would feels to last longer with a progression bar

A small countdown icon as was in Guardians is all I think it needs. Even without it tho, invis is quite effective as is.

I think the countdown is all we need. If you don’t pop the camo immediately after picking it up, and instead wait for the opportune time, you can maximize what time you do get with it. If you pop it immediately, then go get a close-range weapon, then try to find enemies, you’re going to run out of time. Instead, when you see that it is about to spawn, get your preferred close range weapon (or preferably, already have one in your possession), then grab the camo and get yourself in position behind the enemy before you pop it. Then activate camo and wreak havoc.

The ability to hold it in your inventory and use it when you see fit really makes this the most powerful camo we’ve ever had. We don’t need to make it more powerful by increasing the time. The indicator showing how much time is left is really all that needs to be tweaked.

I think camo is pretty darn balanced but that’s just me. I find that it does it’s job perfectly well without feeling overpowered.

I would agree that a timer bar would be helpful, but I also think that’s one of the balancing aspects of it. You have to do the math in your head instead of the game telling you how long you have left. It leads to inexperienced people being surprised when it runs out

I’d be happy with it lasting the same amount of time but only if we could sprint while remaining invisible. I think CE had my favorite implementation of camo, likely due to it not having a movement penalty -sprint not being a feature.

Infinite’s camo time feels more time-limited because it requires someone to slowly go after people while they get to sprint -doing so takes more time. I’ve never liked a movement penalty being tied to camo because I feel like it defeats the purpose.

I don’t understand in what it’s a good thing. Maybe in competitive, but in social mode, we are not here to count in our head, so removing something existing in the old games is stupid

I think it is fine the way it is. I’m fine without a full countdown timer, but it would be nice to have a little HUD warning indicator when you’ve got maybe 3 sec left.

It really only existed like that in 5 as far as I remember. It’s also the first time its been something you can pick up and use when you’re ready to Instead of an AA or one time power up

Yes, but its not a reason to remove the progression bar

Idk, it’s already really powerful. Making the countdown your responsibility is just a way to balance it.

This is a frustrating way to do it and it doesn’t bother good players or those who are willing to activate a timer every time they activate it. I’d much rather they drop it by 10 seconds instead of removing the progress bar

Considering infinite needs NEW players, we should be looking at features that makes their experience more enjoyable, not add chores to manage aspects like a camo timer.
Add a progression bar.

The only people playing are new players, 95% of halo fans deleted the game because it wasn’t made for halo fans, it was made for NEW players

They flat out said that was their goal in interviews
