Active Camoflage: DOES IT SUCK IN REACH?

People are complaining about how, if you picked up the Camo powerup in Reach, you had to crouch and move slowly to stay invisible. Well, this flaw has been fixed for months and people are still ignorant about this. Go into a custom game with an active camo powerup, pick it up and walk around normally.

YOU WON’T APPEAR COMPLETELY INVISIBLE ON YOUR OWN SCREEN!

From other people’s perspectives and theater mode, you are completely invisible no matter how fast you move.

So the answer is no, Camo does not suck in Reach. It works just like classic games.

I see no reason to argue with you. You sound like the type to dismiss any and all counter points.

All that needs to be said is Camo power up > Camo AA

Of course, You need to find and fight for the powerup where as you can spawn with the AA

 Yes, I am the guy that would do that. But, on these forums I am open to other ideas. After all, we are a Halo community building the Halo multiplayer for the future. Please, say any counter-points.

Excuse the grumpyness in the first post 0.o.

See with AC AA, everyone can spawn with what was previously something you had to work for. In addition to that, pickup AC is superior that if you move fast and stay invisible (pretty much MLG Active Camo pickup).

With AC AA however, everyone can use it (if they choose) and all they need to do is get the sniper to camo snipz. Now camo sniping wouldn’t be bad if players had to risk their necks and fight for Power up control.

I admit the radar hammer is a nice feature but that in itself could have been an AA (that you could throw and in that area it would jam radars). Think Halo 3 Jammer.

AC has however, saved my life from certain death at times but Camo sniping is rampant especially BTB and when the same team has both snipers.

Also, you can see those with Camo when they decide to move fast. It’s not that hard. It’s when they move slow it’s harder to see them. Not sure why theater mode would different. I am going to have to test this out myself OP.

If it’s something you have to fight for the reward is far greater, if it is something you are born with the satisfaction is far lesser. This concept can be applied to Halo and life.

I completely agree. However, your issue concerns vanilla Reach whereas I was considering matches without the active camo loadout.

Oh i see now. I had to re read everything and i see what you mean. That problem with power up Camo has been fixed for quite awhile now. Team Klassic at first had this problem though, not very fun to use nerfed AC when should act like the old one.

Sorry about the misunderstanding.
