Does anyone actually like it or think it’s a good addition to the Halo sandbox as an amor ability?

I’ve disliked it as loadout option since the Reach beta
it should be a pick up or a ordinance reward… not something you get from the get go this isn’t crysis
Active camo is great for the sandbox.
As a powerup that is. Horribly flawed ability.
It’d be better if it was spawned on the map, not as an armor ability.

343 had the chance to make Halo fun again.
InFiesta slayer can only but fun for so long before it becomes frustrating.
They could go back to what made Halo 3 fun, but they had to chase CoD. And I don’t even think all 50k people fully enjoy this game. 343 aren’t very competent devs even though they are listening to us. Too little too late if you ask me.
I think that it is nice to have in loadouts because it can fit the playstyles some people have. I have a loadout devoted to long range which uses active camo.
Some people may. However I do not. And this is an example why. (I’m not trying to sound like a whiny -Yoink- in this explanation but still, it’s ridiculous)
First game I play on Landfall, do absolutely horrible because some kid with Camo was camping hard with the shotgun, and a sniper.
Next game I get on Landfall I go 16-0 because i used Camo, and camped with shotgun and rockets.
Something we are able to choose to spawn with should NOT beable to change the game like that. I never use camo, and I never will again, even if it means having a horrible K/D. I hate it so why would I encourage it? Remember the good ol’ days when AC use to be a power up? On par with Oversheild as a reason for power struggle and map flow in game.

No. /thread
Great pickup/powerup like it was but as an AA it is Flawed and OP with Various weapons.

Maybe it had something to do with the fact you both camped with power weapons?
I don’t use camo, I don’t care to use it. I don’t see why people use it unless it’s at range, you can tell where they are on the radar easily and it’s not incredibly hard to see them moving around. Having said that, people like it and it fits their playstyle. I don’t care if it’s there or not.

It fits only the playstyle of being a -Yoink- and hiding. It’s not a good AA.
It’s for big team scrubs, cowards who can’t snipe.

This ^^^^^
Halo doesn’t play the same with everyone having camo at the push of a button–
Power up on the map or
PODs- maybe
NO. I despise Camo Crouchers who think they’re good because they just sit there all match crouched with a Sniper in the back of their base. It was a Powerup for a reason up to H3. Camo crouching takes the least skill of any AA to use. Camo users slow Ragnarok CTF games to a snails pace, which is why I groan whenever Ragnarok gets voted for in CTF (and I can tell by the K/D which opponent will be using the Camo AA).
I like how one person gets picked out for using a rocket/shotgun combo with AC… granted I have only switched once in the past and figured it wasn’t for me… but there are far worse ppl… like running into the Powerweapon whores with AC in Objective… drop their loadouts for anything from Various Rocket types to the Sniper/BiRi/Beam… They can ruin a good game fast by camping a base/ flag if a good shot.
I like camoflauge =) I prefer being more stealthy when I take down enemies, rather than getting all up in their faces and hoping I live long enough to use my AA. I just don’t like offensive AAs; they don’t fit my play style.
For balance it would work better if it was a pick up, or you could pick it up then activate it once then it dies.
For fun it doesn’t work anymore because you’re no longer invisible while moving.

I only camped to see how beneficial camping with AA was.
It wouldn’t matter if i didn’t have any power weapons, because even with the nerf, the boltshot is enough.
I can see why it would be a smart and competetive strategy at range, but for an enormous amount of players, it’s an easy way out of aiming, and it’s an easy way to get kills. Halo is about everyone starting the game equally. That doesn’t happen with AC.
The radar argument isn’t valid since there invisible when crouched…which most of them are.
I love it and use it exclusively, I hardly ever snipe or use DMR and I NEVER camp, my tool of destruction is the AR and I use AC to get within a range that makes my AR the most effective. Not only that but being invisible is just fun.
There is nothing wrong with it being an armor ability. In fact it is quite useful if you aren’t a noob who uses it to hide in a corner with a boltshot.
