Active Camo Sparkling?

For some reason, and seemingly at random, my Spartan will sparkle when using active camo, making him completely visible and defeating the purpose entirely. This happens about 50% of the time I encounter an enemy, and occurs even if I I’m crouching, standing still, with full shield and no combat near me whatsoever.

EDIT: My first person model in no way shows the sparkling, I only discovered this was the source of my deaths by watching Kill Cam. It really surprised me, cause I have been a long time active camo fan, and am very aware of the conditions that could cause reveal.

I have not seen this happen with any other players who use active camo, so I’m not sure WTF is going on for me specifically. Does certain equipment loadouts cause your guy to sparkle like he’s straight out of Twilight, or am I just getting the finger from the game?

Perhaps your Spartan is that vampire from those Twilight movies.

Whenever I’ve seen this on the kill cams it’s usually someone zoomed in with the binocular-type thing you see if you zoom in with a weapon that doesn’t have a scope.

I think maybe that shows up people in active camo. I could be wrong though.

If your shields are down, that happens while your shields are recharging…

I use this setup exclusively. Also, sparkles when you first initiate it & when you power it down for around 1/2 a second.
Be wise when/where to initiate & power down.

I know for a fact its not my shields, but perhaps I haven’t been accounting for the initial effect + online lag delay.

this happens to me all the time as well and its extremely annoying because someone that would have been able to see me sees this mass of shimmering light
